I might have to get me a happy meal. I wonder if these happy meal toys are ever collectable?

I do seem to recall that the beanie babies that they included a few years back creted a stir, but that was when people were going nuts for those things.

I'm all over this. I love this game-related Happy Meal goodies. Wendys had some cool Kirby and Mario ones and the McDonald's Sonic Happy Meal box was awesome.

I'll probably wait and buy all of them at once on eBay. Usually they end up going for very cheap prices in lots.

I still find sealed ones from the last promotion at Goodwill.

Cool stuff though, nice to see McDonald's is doing this again.

Do you think this is a promo for Sonic DS perhaps? classic B&W "Game and Watch" devices are a fav

I've got the old Sonic and the old Knuckles units. Nice distraction, but nothing more than Game and Watch style games.

One difference with these compaired to the last time is you can't see the toy. With a special one in the bunch, finding them sealed could be hard until the silver one is found. Of course you could just go to McD's. :)

Wonder if I'll get lucky again. This is from the Gold nintendo toy thingy a year or 3 ago. Same rarity as a silver sonic.

I was pulling into the drive though last night and saw the big SEGA Happy Meal ad and just had to get it. I plan on getting a Happy Meal after work every time I work nights until the promo is over - thats two Happy Meals a week. Last night I got a two tone blue Sonic skating game.

I have a question? are the silver games variations on the regular colored games or is it a new game?

actually, they're definitely pimping Sonic Heroes with this one....

the bag says something like "Be a Sonic Hero!" and it's got poses used on the cover of the Heroes game...

As a poor college student, I still work there. Our owner would never give away anything like that to us. I'm just waiting for a customer to ask us if we have any of the silver ones available. LOL

I'm Interested in how much these silver ones go for on ebay when they start getting out there. if there are only 2500 produced that puts them up there in rarity. I'm sure the games aren't that great, but neither are lots of the rare atari/ NES games...

izret101

Usually they only give away certain versions during different weeks in the month.
Poeple who are getting them should ask at the drive thru for ones thay don't have i bet you will get them.If not it was still worth a shot.

Why even talking about those things?

Isn't the Sonic game the worst game ever made even for being a G&W clone?! You collectors really need to remember why you like games so much. LOL

well, i only have 4 of the toys so far... and they're all #1's. :(

i REALLY REALLY want to open up them all to see if i got a silver one, but at the same time, want to keep them sealed for collecting purposes. i'm torn. opinion?

Too bad happy meals don't include anything that could pass for food.

That's pretty darn cool. I'll have to go get one of those sometime soon.

But what to do with the putrid food?

Comon, its not THAT bad. Their burgers go down in one or two bites, and the fries are at least semi-palatable.

What are they in? An opaque bag? If so, get pictures of the units and feel the bag for shape to see which one is in it. If you must know if it's a silver one, make a pinhole in the bag...you should be able to see if it's silver or whatever.

The bags are opaque but they are numbered and have the name of the game on them.
