Great deals at Blockbuster.

Just insane deals which make so sense at all.

Trade in any 3 used (ps2,xbox or game cube) games and get any used game for $10.00

Trade in any 1 used (ps2,xbox or game cube) game and get any new game for $29.99

Also buy 2 used games and get one free

Now when you trade in the games you still get a credit for them and can use that credit towards the $10.00 or $29.99

I've been taking huge advantage of these stupid deals. Check these out.

For example I traded in Fable for Xbox disk only (35 trade) Madden 2001 (1.50 trade) PS2 and Madden 2002 (1.50 trade) PS2 and had 38.00 credit. I then bought another copy of Fable for $10.00 and still had twentysome in credit left over.

or

I traded in a used copy of Halo 2 (disk only) and got $40.00 in trade and bought a new sealed copy for $29.99

or

I traded in 6 crap games (disk only and scratched up) got 3 copies of Fable for Xbox. 2X$10.00 plus 1 for free. Then traded those right back in without leaving the store ($35.00X3= 105 for those counting) and bought another copy of Fable for $10.00 since I traded in 3 games. Then traded that one in and had almost enough to buy a new PS2 or a new Xbox.

I don't know who is running the show over there but you will be hard pressed to find a better deal anywhere.

Good Gracious...is this deal only at blockbusters with the GameRush in them. Sadly, there aren't that many in my area with GameRush...

At first this seemed like a horrible deal. 3 games to get some used game for $10? What a ripoff. Then you gave examples and I realized that the deals you refer to are in addition to the trade in credit. Now it makes sense.

It seems like somewhat similar deals pop up at eb and other places from time to time...

makes one consider...maybe it's not a bad idea to stock up on really cheap games for just this reason.

I've been doing the same around here, only I'm using the 3 game packs from Walmart (the 3 PS2 racing game). I spend $10 on the pack, get $6 credit back from them, and any used game for $10. Net out of pocket is $14 for current releases. I've gotten MK Deception and THUG2 for xbox so far and I plan on going back for Fable, Pikmin 2, and Spiderman 2. Not a bad deal!

Yeah, they've been doing these kind of deals for a while now. Actually, the "trade in 3, get any used for $10" includes PS1 games too, so if you've got 3 loose Madden '98 discs, they'll accept those also.

Do these deals apply to all Blockbusters ? If so I am going there tomorrow! Also ... are there any other games that give a huge trade in value like Fable does (in case my Blockbuster doesn't have any copies of Fable) ? Thanks

Fable works the best because most blockbusters have many copies in stock. They have a chart with the highest games listed. Halo 2 , GTA and metroid Prime are all 40 for example.

No, man. I went to five blockbusters today, all 5 had the trade 3 get used for $10, and 4 had the buy 2 get one free. None had the trade one get new for $30. Sadly, only one store had one copy of used Fable, so I kept the 3 crap games I bought from EB for $4.50 until I can get multiple copies of $35+ tradein value games. It helps if it has a Game Rush, but it's not needed.

I went only to Blockbusters, and at the end of the day, I only used $8 from my wallet.

Brand new Halo 2
Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes
Fear Effect: Retro Helix
Maximo

Pretty good for 8 bucks.

Trade in 1, and get a new game for 30 didn't work anywhere.

ok so i just tryed this, and the dude said i can only do the 3 games = 10$ game thing only once a day. does anyone know if this is per blockbuster? like can i go to another one in the same day and do the samething or do they keep that info in the computer? im only asking cuz the next gamerush is about 20 mins away and i dont wanna drive there and find out that its once a day.

Why in the hell aren't there any GameRush stores in Minnesota??? Is it predominantly East Coast right now? We have tons of Game Crazies here, but no Game Rushes.

I sometimes got this as well depending on who was working however the website says "Offer valid for a limited time. Must trade 3 games to get 1 pre-owned game for $10.00. Limit one transaction per Member per day. Traded titles valid on Playstation, Playstation 2, XBOX, Game Cube, Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS formats only. Trades not valid on mini-games. Offer valid in the same transaction as the games traded. Offer not valid on previously rented movies, sale items or in conjunction with any other discount or offer. Discount taken at register and will be applied towards lowest price game. Member responsible for applicable taxes. Maximum of 20 pre-owned games per Member per day."

Now is that I can only trade in 20 per day? I read that as I can only buy 20 at $10.00 per day.

I have been taking major advantage of this deal. Combined with the "buy 2, get 1 free" at gamestop next door [buy some 2.99 gamestop games, cash in] I have been really raking it in.

Some things to know:
The blockbuster / gamerush deal runs until January 10th.
its 1 transaction per store per day. If you can find more stores then you can do the deal there to.

Several games have higher trade-in values then what gamestop charges. its 4.99 for the Getaway, and blockbuster gives you 7.00. its 3.99 for Metal Gear Solid 2, and blockbuster gives you 5.00.

Good luck, everybody!

Where have you guys been? I pulled this stunt to perfection back in June/July when they ran it the first time and made out like a fucking king. A king I tell you. When all was said and done I made out with Chronicles of Riddick, Kill.Switch, Mario Golf: Advanced Tour, Mark of Kri, a brand new ps2, a double pack of memory cards, monster cables, etc. etc. Just took a little gas money and time. The key here is to get a high dollar game when you trade in. Trade that back in as one of the 3 you need to fulfill the deal and you've basically got the game-trading equivelant of the Midas touch. Pure gold my friends....pure gold.

EDIT:

Be sure to use your leftover credit to pick up extra games to trade in. Old sports games are boss for this. The cheaper the better, and use the b2g1f deal to increase your credit. Jet Set Radio Future for Xbox is also a cheapass allstar for tradebait.

Correction on the one per store per day per member clause..... it's one per transaction per member per day. So you have to go to one store on one day, then go see what the other one has the next day, so forth and so on. I just tried the multiple stores in one day thing...it didn't work :/

screw Gamerush. The store with the freaking awesome deals is of course no where near me. What I would do to live in LA again.

I had one manager tell me 1 deal per day but I just show up before he gets there right when the store opens. I traded in 18 games and got 6 of the $30-$40 trade in games. They didn't let me do the buy 2 get one free this time but I still made out ok.

For you people saying "where have you been" Where have YOU been. You are supposed to share this info man. I wish I had known sooner.

One more thing I picked up two new games today as well.

Halo collectors edition and the PS2 Mortal Kombat collectors edition. Yes even games priced higher than 49.99 were marked down to 29.99 after the deal.

I was just at the one in Chesterfield, MI and they didn't have much when it came to new releases. The newest thing they had in stock for any system was Leisure Suit Larry for the XBOX, so I got that. Still trades in for more credit than anything else....now to search other GameRushes in my area.

I traded at two different stores today. Worked like a charm. $50 more in credit and I will have a DS!! Should be tomorrow or the next day. :D 8-)

I just keep using Halo2, Fable, or Star Wars Battlefront for the $10 buy and trade it along with a couple old playstation games the next day or at the other store.

Yeah, i just tried at multiple stores today. It did work. My mistake. The one store by me was picked over, then knowing the right people, i secured myself a few Halo 2 LE's....which we all know will fetch a pretty penny. I'm working to just amass a bit in credit...does anyone know if they sell new systems there or not and the such? I never shop there, but if i'm going to amass some credit, i do want to know what I can buy. Thanks all.
