Well, if you want to save on batteries, I'd go for the Four Score instead of the Satellite. As far as cool looking goes, get the Satellite.
The only four player games I have (that I know of) is the Super Spike V-Ball / Nintendo World Cup cart. Both are great games, especially World Cup.

go with the fourscore. the satelitte uses 6 C batteries.
others games to look into:
rc pro am 2
danny sulivans indy heat
super off road
bomberman 2 (3 players)
nightmare on elm street
and im sure there are more, just none i can think of

My gosh, I used to play Super Off Road on the NES with the Satellite for ages at a time...
I loved the satellite because the batteries in it lasted forever and it allowed you to have the controllers in an "easy to store" manner. When we were done, we simply put everything into a shoebox and shuttled it off to the closet.
And the satellite adaptor thing looks slick when you stick it on your NES too.

Gauntlet 2 also supports 4 players. That's a good one to play if you can get around the horribly ear-piercing sound effects and voice clips.
Oh, and I think Danny Sullivan's Indy Heat might support it as well. And if you like puzzle games, Spot is great for 4 players.
