The video worked for me when I clicked on the 2nd link (they have 2 links foe each video you know :) )

There is a very high demand for the PSP in Japan... not everyone will be able to get one on launch day... so some people may have to wait until the end of the year over there. In fact, some serious gamers over Japan have been spending hrs and hrs waiting in a line in the last days left just to pre-order @_@

The PSP is gona be big IMO, it won't sell as many units as Nintendo, but that was never Sony's plan in the first place.

All I can say is that I CANT WAIT until it hits US stores... because I got one pre-ordered over at EB, and have it payed off in full. 8-)

Those videos of the "operating system" really show the elegance and more mature nature of the PSP. It just seems like a very well thought out system, all the way around, something that the D.S. just doesn't impart to me.

It won't sell as many units as the DS, you mean? Because Sony's plan is most definitely to outsell the DS.

Indeed. Even fans of the DS are complaining about the flaws of the front-end: the unskippable safety warning, the huge analog (?) clock, the worthless calendar and more worthless alarm. Why make the DS's interface look like a PDA if it doesn't offer any real PDA functionality?

Also, the aesthetics of the DS front-end are typically bright & bouncy Nintendo (children), while the aesthetics of the PSP front-end are typically dark & sleek Sony (teens and adults).

For those of you who've watched the videos, which games are you most excited about?

The Armored Core clip was spectacular. Hot Shots Golf looked great, too.

The Tower of Purgatory was a pleasant surprise. It could've been a Metroid Prime: Hunters killer if it hadn't gone in an RPG direction.

Metal Gear Acid looks much cooler than it sounds.

The Dynasty Warriors and Ridge Racers clips were disappointing--where's the in-game footage?

The PSP is gonna have a *killer* launch library in the States.

Between the PSP and the DS i'm only interested in one game. I am holding off on buying either system for now. I did get excited for a second. The one pic has a Radiant Silvergun disc next to a PSP disc. Now Radiant Silvergun would be really fucking cool to have on the PSP.

THE ONE, THE ONLY- RCM
