When was Frogger released? Is that rare? From what I remember Harvest Moon was released in like 1998, and I thought that was the last, Frogger must have been pretty late in the game.

This is a perfect example of why I should be sleeping at 12:30am and not attempting to post in a video game forum. I swear "last" looked just like "best".

Mr. Do and Ms Pac-Man were among the last SNES games released, if I remember correctly (oddly enough). I also think Williams' Arcade Hits was one of the final ones as well. Kind of odd that they were all retro games. Anyone know for sure?

Whooops, Thought it was Last game purchased not read.
Last official SNES / SFC game was Fire Emblem Thracia 776 I believe. Came out 2000 I think.
N64 was THPS 3, but weren't there some "Rental Only" games too? Power Puff Girls and Razor Scooter come to mind. I know Indiana Jones was later released in limited quantities as a retail game.

THPS 3 was definitely the last one. I know it came out after Power Puff Girls which had been the last released up until that point. I don't think Ms. Pac-Man was out that late, actually. I have Frogger...I hate the fact it has absolutely no music in it...not even the little opening ditty. What was that computer take-off of Frogger...Preppies?

Fire Emblem was on of the last games:
Fire Emblem Tracia 776: 01.09.99
But the true last game that came 15 months later accoring to the Nintendo Japan Site is:
METAL SLADER GLORY DIRECTORS CUT: 01.12.00

Nope, they were later releases, but no where near the last.
Frogger from 1998 was the last US release. Japan came sometime later (Thinking one of the Fire Emblem games).

TH3 came way after the Blockbuster exclusives. Indiana Jones was only available at Blockbuster stores, their website, and Lucusart's website... no official retail store release (all the Indiana Jones sold at BB were former rentals)

SNES- Saved By the Bell: Belding's Revenge
N64- Generic Racer 64. (Because you can never have enough 64 racing titles!)

Definitely Frogger for the SNES, and THPS 3 for N64.
This has been confirmed for US releases.

Nice, updating my internal files :)
Pretty funny that SFC games came out long after the N64 was dead and gone. The ol' SFC had just about a decade going strong...beat out by the Neo Geo on both ends but was viable pretty much the whole way.

It may have been the last game published, but it was only available through Nintendo Power systems, so any copy you find will just be a flash cart, possibly with a manual. Fire Emblem was the final full retail release, AFAIK.
BTW, what was the final Japanese N64 release? I've heard Bomberman 64, but I don't believe that. :/

Actually, it WAS Bomberman 64. Their version of OUR Bomberman 64 was called Baku Bomberman... their Bomberman 64 is a return to the overhead Bombermans of Christmas pasts. The game also has a version of the PSone's "Bomberman Land" (according to IGN.) I suppose it was not releasd in the US?
I believe the japanese game Bomberman 64 was the last N64 game ever, but I'm often wrong.

I asked this question eariler. ;) Yes, Frogger was the last US release for the SNES. Sometime in 1998. Incentidly, that game was also released for the Genesis at the same time by Majesco, and it was the last Genesis game.
And THPS 3 for the N64 was a VERY late release.....it came out in the summer of 2002, and shocked everyone when it showed up in the new releases with the GC, PS2, and XBox games. ;) I recall my local EB had ONE copy of the game that came in and it was gone almost right away.
