In the early 1990s, was this console. It was unique in that it and the arcade machine literally played the same versions.

It was also very, very, expensive. One video gaming magazine, in a run-down on consoles, referred to it as a machine for people who had a lot of money to spend, and who liked to show it.

I remember seeing the unit going for $800.00 (not including tax), and the games going for anywhere from $200.00 to $300.00 (again, without tax).

Well, here it is- who here had one of these consoles? I never knew anyone who did, and quite frankly, for the money, the library seemed too limited.

Say Aswald, I'm going to close this topic out and re-direct you. This subject has been discussed a million times (there are MANY Neo-Geo owners here!) but I'll point you to the "Neo-Geo Thoughts" thread where many have expressed their opinion on the system, it's value, and it's games.

My fave system of all time. It has Metal Slug. What more could you ever need? Yes, the library does seem to have just a few too many fighters (end sarcasm) but there are some incredible titles like Neo Turf Masters.
