Just recieved another annoyingly rare piece of Earthbound memorbilia. This one is the pizza air-freshener, which you got for correctly guessing the mystery smell in the strat guide.

EDIT: Image cropped for her pleasure.

Why you couldn't crop that and make it small enough to fit is beyond me.

EB rocks, though. Here's hoping for a US version of EB1+2 and the upcoming EB3.

By the time I decided to start collecting Mother/earthbound stuff it was too late to nab one new, and they sure as heck haven't been popping up on ebay, at least not US ebay. I do have an unopened mr. saturn phonestrap though!

I really really really wish I had known about the game back in the day. By the time I heard about it, the N64 was just starting to die off. In other words, it took years.

When they release the GBA versions, I hope they don't fuck it up somehow. Keep it all the same. Music, names, humor, storyline.

Here is a REALLY cool site that doucments the changes to the US version. Earthbound has some of the stupidest edits ever in the history of the world. Why remove the red crosses?

yeah it comes with a nice little art book, by the way a couple of months ago they actually had coke bottle cap keychains featuring EB characters. I'd take a photo but I'm a lazy bastard as well.

but getting those bottlecaps would be sweet

Wow, talk about a hardcore Earthbound fan. o_O And you too, of course. :) I think it's always cool when people are into a specific game or series and collect EVERYTHING related to it. From my own personal experience, it's a lot more exciting and interesting than just buying games randomly with no strong devotion or passion for any one particular thing.

Quoting you out of order...

I bought my N64 because Earthbound 64 was continuously "just about to be released." I think part of my spite for the system is because it never was.

Thank god for Conker at least.

I found out about the original shortly after launch and have loved it since. It is the only RPG that I have ever beaten more than once... or more than ten times.

Upcoming Earthbound 3? WTF? Really! For GBA!

I'd get a GBA or DS or something to play that on in a heartbeat. Got any details?

Yea it's alot of fun, especially getting the rarer pieces. Thanks to starmen.net I have a awesome list of merchindise to follow. Earthbound has a huge cult following, which is pretty rare for such an old obscure game (at least in the US, in JP Mother (AKA Earthbound) is extremely popular).

Nope, supposedly it lost the pizza smell after being opened after one day :( . I believe it smelled exactly like the mystery scratch n sniff, though.

None of the earthbound scratch snd sniff stuff smelled anywhere close to what it was supposed to smell like. They mailed me a bunch of it back in the day, and it had me turned off to the game before I ever even got a chance to try it.
