I know it's a bit early to start seeing modified DS handhelds like what happened with the original Gameboy, but I'm wondering if anybody has seen any yet. If you know of any web sites or have any pics of tricked out DS units, I would appreciate it. Thanks. About all I have seen are laminated skins.

I haven't seen any yet either but it shouldn't be too long...

It seems there was a rumor about a mod to allow the DS to play GB/GBC games (http://www.livejournal.com/users/io_burn/23021.html), but some have dismissed it as a hoax (http://www.livejournal.com/community/nintendo_ds/81844.html).

Aheadgames will change the LEDs in your DS for you. But that's about all I've heard of. :)

That it is. He's using Goomba (the Gameboy emulator for GBA) on the system. I sincerely hope nobody actually did this to their DS. On an off note, Goomba works awesomely on the DS :)

I do know that it won't be long until Nintendo release the first of the alternatively coloured DS consoles. The first new colour will be black DS's, seen a picture somewhere in a magazine, GamesTM I think, in the UK. Supposedly, the black ones were going to be released at the same time as the Silver ones, but for some reason, Nintendo decided to hold them back (less stock at Xmas, and it will make the black ones more desirable when they do release them).
