Most game guidebooks $1.99 at Funco!

Stopped at a local Funco this morning (scored a long box PSX Discworld complete for $9!) and noticed a bunch of game guides stacked at the bottom of a shelving unit. Picked up a stack and checked the titles on the spines and saw a few I wouldn't mind having, so I looked for a sticker on the cover. To my surprise, all were $1.99!

Most looked, and some were, brand new...so I quickly went through and pulled out guide books for:

Medal of Honor: Frontline
Stuntman
Metal Gear Solid 2
Jedi Starfighter
Vitua Fighter 4 (still shrinkwrapped with mini-art book!)
Final Fantasy Tactics (the only one that looked at all used)

Of about 60 guides (many sports titles) only 2 were more than $1.99...Halo and Animal Crossing, which were only $3.99. If you like game guides, this might be a good time to check out your local Funcoland!

If you look at the sticker, it should say "Used Generic Guide"

I tossed the stickers already, but don't doubt it....the MOHF guide didn't have a sticker and the guy just double hit one of the other guides to ring it up.

I like the concept of a "Generic Game Guide" though...."If an enemy is in front of you, press the fire button"..."if nothing happens when you press button A, try button B"..."if an arrow appears on screen, go in that direction"....etc.
