It seems quite normal. Description fits and everything, but he plays a little trick on the person that is not clever. Take a good look at the picture. Go ahead, you can look now. Look very closely. Something doesn't fit. Figure it out yet?

He is selling it off with Master System controllers. Clever guy
He knows what a Genesis controller is:

he is very clever indeed

Will the controllers work with it I wonder?

Clever, but not very nice. He really shoulda told that those controllers were for the SMS (unless they do fit the ports of the GEN, not sure never seen an SMS IRL). Of course, when someone wins it and gets it in the mail, then tries to play it (assuming its not just for collecting purposes) and the controller plugs dont fit the ports, he can say "well the auction stated 2 controllers, and thats what you got". :/

Clever, but not very nice.

They will fit in a Genesis (both are the common 9-pin ports also used on the 2600, C64 & Amiga), but with only 2 buttons and no Start button, you're not going to get very far.

Just for ha-ha's, I fired off a question asking him why he's selling two master system controllers with a Genesis. I'll see what he says. LOL

Well, he replied:

You asked:
"Why are you selling Master System controllers with a Genesis?"

hi... i wasn't fully aware that they were for the master system. i was wondering why it only had two buttons... it fit the holes though, so i'm including them... -jared-

*cough* BS *cough*

I honestly just figured that he was just someone who wasn't familiar with videogames, saw that the controllers had a Sega logo on them and assumed that they were just a different style controller. Just like a Goodwill employee is likely to do.

Why is it that we always more likely to believe that someone's trying to pull a fast one instead of just not knowing better?

Because we're talking about it on a forum where we drag in all the bad and idiot sellers and buyers. :P
