I know I did. Have not played it yet, being as I just got back. Time to put in some ICP and play some DS. 8-)
I hope it's as good as everyone said it was going to be. I hope it's a little easier then Asphalt.

Now I can name two things I think I'll be just fine without for the rest of days! LOL

Hope you enjoy it, though, MAS.

I picked it up yesterday. I like it...the drifting took a little getting used to, but once I figured it out I was fine.

Thanks to everyone who decded to thread jack. x_x

I am not very into it. I like Asphalt better. The controls are very loose on Ridge racer. The slightest movement makes the car jerk. Everytime I try to drift I crash also. Ridge racer is graphiclly better, but I am into Asphalt much more.

I'm not sure what games your looking at, but Asphalt blows Ridge Racer away in terms of graphics and framerate.

For me though, I like both games. Maybe because I'm not a huge racing fan and my expectations weren't huge, but I think both games are at least average, which isn't a problem for me.

I played it multiplayer and it was just as you said. You turn just slightly and the car slides way off to the side. You just have to look at the bottom screen when you turn and you can see how much the wheel veers to one side. The graphics were great from what I saw. Multiplayer was very smooth and alot of fun.

I saw a video of someone using the touch screen on RR with just their finger. Does that work better or is it pretty much the same as the stylus?

I got it as an early Xmas goft today. It's almost a direct port of the N64 version (Ridge Racer 64), and that doesn't bother me one bit. I loved the N64 version, and now I love this one. Probably because the Ridge Racer series are the only racing games I am truly a master at! :) I can't deal with the touchscreen steering however (just keep banging into walls because of the sensitivity), but I absolutely rule at it using the normal controls.

i never really got the whole Ridge Racer thing. So, I can't see me picking it up in a hurry. I have ordered a copy of Asphalt and it should be here for Chrimbo! :)

Looking at most reviews it seems like Asphalt is a tad better in general - except, maybe, collision detection. So I'm definitely sticking to that until NFSU 2 comes out - here's hoping it's a bit better than the GBA version!
