Puzzle fighter any day as it is an awesome game and Games TM gave GTA for GBA a 4 out of 10.

Surely GTA 1s "limited" game structure is the same structure that has made GTA 3 such a hit?

No, they gave GTA SA 9 out of 10 in the same issue.

The GBA version is very simplified and linear "shunting players from one mission to the next without giving them much choice in the matter."

From the review I got the feeling that they would have preferred a port of the PC or PS version of GTA 1 and it simply doesn't live up to that.

Even though Puzzle Fighter is a really bad Puzzle game. It is much better than GTA. That game gets so incredibly boring. At least you can have some challenge to Puzzle Fighter.
