I know for a fact that there is black and blue. But the reason I ask this, is that my brother swears up and down that there were red and yellow Game Gears made as well. Is this true?

Gray Game Gear Glass Screen
Gray Game Gear Plastic Screen
Blue Game Gear - special sports edition that was released in 1993
Gray Game Gear 2000 - This is just like a normal Game Gear, but was reproduced by Majesto. The RGB ovals on the system were turned into gray ovals.
those are the only known USA models (source vidgame.net)

The warm chocolate puddin' ovals on the system were turned into gray ovals.
LOL
Was there a big difference between the glass and plastic screens? (besides the incompatability with the TV Tuner)

Thanks to Anthony1 for that one ;) As for the two screens, from what I remember, that was the only issue. Plus the glass screen is kinda rare I thought since it was more of a first run model.

In japan there were many other models as well, a black logoed- Virtua Fighter Model, there's the Red Coca Cola model as well as the Red Rayearth model. I'm sure there's tons more beyond that.

Not sure about the US. I have a yellow one, but last I checked, gamegear is region free, there'd be no way to tell.

I have one inlayed with REAL chaos emeralds. Not just the cheap fake ones you can find at your local jewel dealer. It was given to me by the Grand Jewel Master's favorite concubine, Larry. I can't take a picture of it though because it's majesty causes cameras to explode.

I'd been wanting the Magic Knight Rayearth one for years. Just too pricey for a system I rarely play anyway.

The jewel gamegear pictures aren't very common, seeing as they're varied and incredibly rare.

I LOVE the Saturn game. I grabbed my copy on a whim at Funcoland when it came out for only $20! FAN-friggin-TASTIC!!! I also bought the two GameGear games, the Game Boy game, import Saturn version and the SFC game. Not that I can really play them. Except the SFC one I got off of ebay had a save file right at the end of the game, so I played my way through and was able to see the ending!
That was a nice bonus.
