Not as in you download a game from the Internet or play those stupid, constantly-updated Flash puzzle games (**cough** Bejeweled **cough**). Online simultaneous, like EverQuest or Halo. I just got an network adapter kit and wireless router (approx. $140 w/o tax) for my PS2 and will hook it up... after I hook the router up. Networking is such a pain.

On a related topic, I haven't seen the GameCube online kits in a while. Wonder if they're getting rare. Possible collectors item. (Next NES 2, perhaps?) If someone could give me sales figures, that would be great.

I Play Everquest and Everquest2 takes up most all my game time but i get on Xbox live also sometimes. Truth be told my ass load of classic games have alot of dust on them, I almost regret starting everquest but i enjoy it alot. I am going to have to make somemore time for my consoles again. Seems like i am on a cycle, spend alot of time on the old stuff and take a break and i always come back.

Yea, I play Everquest still, have for almost 5 years. I play UT2K4 sometimes also. I'm looking to get into Halo2 also.

Nothing but Enemy Territory for me.

Best. Game. Ever. :D

Ive also thought about getting a network adaptor for my ps2, but it would probably be too much work changing my network to fit a ps2 in (currently 2 computers connected with a 15m crossover cable with ADSL on the main computer).

No, I don't believe in paying $40 for a game, then having to pay more to be able to play it.

Plus I enjoy the achievement of actually beating a game :-D

I have played Phantasy Star Online 1 and 2.

Never online though.

I have played Unreal Tournament, Warcraft III and a couple others in LANs, but not too often.

Basically, if it isn't people that I know, I'm not interested in playing with them. The only reason why Xbox live has been sort of tempting me is the ability to make groups of friends and then I'd get to play online with people from the boards or people that I know, which is wayyyy more tempting.

When you pay per month you are paying for the servers to not turn into battle.net servers. A worthy donation. It keeps the servers running clean, provides updates, and protection from hacks. I would have a hard time playing a MMORPG that was free because the problems are too numberous. Also it keeps out a lot of the riftraft middleschooler l33t hax0rz scriptkiddie punks because they won't pay. $12 a month is totally unnoticable, don't be cheap ;)

Shooters on the otherhand, why on earth would anyone pay per month for those. Even though you are kinda paying for it per month with the internet.

Hmm, that reminds me. I bought enemy territory a year ago and have yet to open the box. I should play it.

Considering that Halo 2 is about all I've been playing for the past month, yes. Yes I do LOL

Steel Battalion: Line of Contact (only playable online via Xbox Live) has owned my nutsack for the last six months. Which is good in a way, because it's kept me from buying other games for a bit.

You know, I should pick that up. I know like 3 other people with it, and Steel Battalion is sweet.

I have played the PC, Xbox, PS2, and GameCube online. Maybe someday, I'll be able to add the Dreamcast to that list.

Took the words right out of my mouth. I did play gunbound for a little while, it was pretty fun.

You should have an option "I don't play online games because I prefer playing offline". It has nothing to do with the generation of games.

Anyway, I never play online. The only time I ever did, was a game of chess off Yahoo against my best friend after he moved away to Vancouver.

Well, with warp pipe you can play mario kart and kirby's air ride online, but that's about it.

I've heard that a SB:LOC LAN party will rock your boxers. I think it'd be a hell of a thing just to see.

I've been playing Ultima Online for 6 going on 7 years now. Not sure what keeps me going back day after day, but either way...

Other then that I still play Quake 2 (CTF!!) I also play a few MUDS; by far my favorite is Realms of Despair. I play MAME online allot also. I have yet to play any online console games. Perhaps someday.

Here is a list of games I played at some point online (PC only):

AC
EQ
EQ2 (see below)
Ultima Online (played for about 5 years on/off)
DAOC
EVE
SWG (what a disappointment after working to Master BH)
Horizons (dragons ya baby but boring)
I used to play Counter Strike which is still the best online FPS.

Active accounts:

Anarchy Online (still one of the best and most complicated MMORPGS). Been playing since day 1 and after taking a break from it to try out all of the above I keep coming back to AO.

World Of Warcraft- My new addiction. This game has the best graphics in any of the above except maybe EQ2 which is just as good. If your system can handle it try WOW. I have yet to be bored in this brilliant game. Highly recommended.

I tried EQ2 but WOW suits me better. Both will be around for a long time.

Feel free to PM me if anyone has any questions about any of the above games. :)

2 of the above for me.

The majority of my online playing is done over Xbox Live now, but I do prefer playing Unreal on the PC rather than over the Xbox.

I haven't played a multiplayer game online since the heyday of Warcraft II on the Kali servers. Ahhh.... memories!

I can't vote on any of those choices. I don't play anything online because online gaming doesn't interest me one bit. I used to play Worms 2 online and a few other games, but even then...rarely. It's just not remotely appealing to me.

All of you people, think about the "I just don't like playing online" stuff. You can:

1. Play with the crappy neighbors on a cramped couch (usually in a tiny spit-screen mode) or
2. Test your skills with the best without having to go to a convention

Hmmm... tough choice.

Oh yeah, Newegg is having a rebate sale on wireless gaming adapters:

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=73-999-101&depa=0 (Wireless-B, $50)

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=73-999-102&depa=0 (Wireless-G, $86)

These prices include the rebate and shipping. Not in stock as of post, so you'll have to wait. But the Wireless-B looks like a great deal, if you have the paitence.
