new style neo stick disadvantages?

I just bought a mint new style neo geo joystick off of ebay for $2.00 :D
reason i have never picked one up before is i have heard people do not like them as much as the old style sticks, what is it about them that makes them not as good? just curious. do they have the same square shaped movement pattern in the stick as the old syle sticks??

When I had my AES, i just thought they were too lightweight. They didn't have that heft the old style contollers did. And the buttons felt "looser"...if that makes any sense.

But, on a more positive note, the new style sticks beat the hell out of the CD pads :smash: LOL

I am not a huge fan of the arcade joysticks and was thinking about picking up the d pad, can you tell me more about the d pad and y u don't like it? :hmm:

the d pads are a piece of shit, period.
they use the same sensors in those d pads that were used in the atari 2600 joysticks, i kid you not.
these could have been the best controllers ever, if not for the worthless sensors inside the d pad.
