View Full Version : TOM CLANCY GLITCH
I looked around and couldn't find a topic about this. Can anyone confirm or deny a glitch in one of the Tom Clancy games for Xbox? If you upload a file into an Xbox memory card you are supposed to be able to play backups without a modchip. Thanks to all.

Haven't heard of that one. I know the non-PH versions of MechAssault and 007: Agent Under Fire are popular since they enable a "back-door" to doing a soft hack on the Xbox. Haven't heard anything from the Clancy's though.

I have a non-PH Mechassault. Now, of course, I have no interest in modding my Xbox, but do you have any more info on this?
How does the whole glitch thing work anyway? Is it as simple as popping the game in and saving to a memory card? I need answers damn it!!!!! Ha

Yeah, I'd really like to know more about this too. I'd really like to be able to play NES/SNES emulators on my Xbox without having to get it moded.

It involves saving files to a memory card and then transfering those files to your xbox, overwriting other files.
But you have to have someone with a modded Xbox to copy the files to the memory card for you. Or you need one of the Memory Cards that you can also hook to your computer to get saved games off the Net. Then you can transfer the files to the card from your computer.
Then once the files are transfered and overwritten, you can use a cd to put Evox or another dashboard on your box so you can do emulators and such.
It's really easier to use a solderless chip if you ask me.

Just be really careful, you can easily mess up you Xbox badly doing this. I tried using the Mechassualt method using Action Replay and online tutorials. One file was wrong and I got the red/green falshing light and "Your Xbox needs service" message and couldn't fix it without a chip. I picked up the Xenium Ice solderless chip and it's great, and you can easily fix any mistakes made. Just prepare to put in alot of time on a modded Xbox, it's a complex endeavour, and it's time consuming to sort everything out and working great.
Damn I was hoping you just saved the game and you were ready to play burned media. Damn weres my miracle pill.
