This guy has Space Harrier for $400 and GondoMania for $200 I'll post pics below. First are those good prices and second what should I look for when I go see them in person.

Space Harrier? :eek 2:

I'd pay $400 for it. But then again, I really like that game, so I might be biased.

I don't really know anything in terms of what to look for. You could play the game before you buy it to make sure that everything works okay, the joysticks are tuned, the sound is alright, the monitor isn't bleached, etc. etc.

That's about all I can think of.

Look for moniter burn.... If it's bad, ask to drop 50-100 bucks. Check the insides to make sure there is no bugs, rats, and it's not really beat up. Check the overall paint, if that matters to you (probably the least important). That is what I look for when im intrested in a machine.

That Gondomania looks awsome! I have a caliber .50 with the same control scheme.

Ok I'm going to look in about an hour. I'm thinking I'll get the Gondomania because it's cheaper. Another question though. Will I be able to put other game boards in it?

If it's JAMMA, you should be able to. However, I think with Gondomania's specialized controls, you can only change it out with another different game [I forget the name of it...]

thanks. I just looked it up here

http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=G&game_id=7981

it says its JAMMA+ so does that mean I can swap it with any JAMMA game with two button controls?

thanks again for the help

edit: it looks like it has 4 buttons is that for right and left handed players

So I got Space Harrier it was just way too fun. Its in good shape the side art is a little dinged up but still very cool. Note to self don't buy arcade games when you live on the second floor. Thank goodness the guy was nice enough to help me move it. He offered me the Gondomania for an extra $100 but after moving the Space Harrier I had to say no. If you live near Sacramento CA and you want a cheap arcade game I could probably still get that deal for someone. He said that Ikari Warriors would work in it too.

So now that I have it how long should I keep it on or off and that sort of stuff. I really know nothing about arcade games.

Very exciting day for me :)

edit: here are some better photos of it at my place

As an owner of Gondomania cab...

Make sure the arcade controls "rotate" correctly! The game will be a lot more fun if they are not sticky (one of mine sticks a bit). The cab is JAMMA, however, the monitor is a vertical orientation so your choice of games to swap in there is limited (most games are horizontal).

the controls seemed loose when I played it. they rotated just fine but seemed a little sloppy. I'm still thinking about that one since he dropped it down to $100

I'd buy it for that - it's a fun twitch game, and hard as hell on later levels. It takes me about 20 credits and 45 mins to win.

If I didn't live on the second floor I'd get it for sure but after moving the Space Harrier I don't think I'll be getting another arcade cab unless its something I really want.

Wow! That's an awesome looking cabinet. And judging by the pictures, the monitor looks really nice as well.

Congrats! Enjoy it, man. I know I would. :D

By the way, I just noticed the stack of quarters on your control picture. LOL Are you going to keep it pay, or switch it over to free play?

When I first got it I didn't use the quarters but it wasn't as fun. It really lacked the intesity that made it fun when I was a kid. If you have unlimited credits when you die its no big deal. My goal is to beat it on 4 credits. Also those quarters were in the machine so it only cost me $396 now. :)

Those rotary sticks on the Gondomania, if you cleaned them up so they work well, are worth nearly the $200 all alone.
