I have all my system's stored in box's in my closet during the summer because the attick is to hot. But what about coldness? Will it hurt or damage the system's if they are all box'ed and taped up? Thanks

It shouldn't.

I keep arcade games outside during Wisconsin winters, and have yet to have a problem with them.

Extreme temperatures are not good for circuit boards, as the extreme temperatures may case the boards to expand or contract, possibly cracking solder points. I suppose extreme temperatures could also affect batteries and soft media (floppy disks) as well.

That being said, I have had Commodore 64 floppy disks stored in my garage in a milk crate in my garage over the past 10+ years, with no problem. I've never PERSONALLY seen temperatures in a house hot enough or cold enough to affect personal video games.

YMMV and all those other caveats apply.

Cool thanks. Our attick stay's about as cold as it is outside I would guess. I live in an apt, and the attick has vent's that lead directly outside, but it's curved so that it cant rain and get wet up there ect ect.

All I'd worry about is cold air condensation creating mildew on packaging. I stored boxes of VHS movies and the ones next to the walls of the cardboard boxes became mildewed. I was glad that it wasn't my games.
