BTW, sir--I believe that the term is generally written "shmup" (derived from "SHoot 'eM UP", rather than "shump", which is dangerously close to both "chump" and "shemp" (woo woo woo!).

I used to get it wrong all the time, too, and even now I have to consciously spell it out mentally. It's like...Schlump?

"Shump" sounds like someone trying to say "Sump" and failing.
I've been meaning to try out this Warning Forever for a while now. There's a fanmade translation patch out for the boss names, BTW.

Awesome. Bosses get too large at a point though. He comes in the screen and I can't destroy body parts fast enough. Yes, I learned really quickly that it's pivotol to shoot his armpit instead of blowing off his wrist first (Destroys whole apparatus when breaking it at the connecting point)
Should have a High Score database, that way I can compare my score to the rest of the geeks

I just played it once and got 4676300, upto stage11, whatever the default settings are.

I must say that WF is awesome... but I've got an embarrasing question. Is there a way to use more than two weapons? I can't figure out how to use weapons other than the vulcan and the multi-directional weapon (the one that uses a green field to indicate where you are currently shooting). :embarrassed:
