Gamecube trouble

My gamecube doesnt like to read discs its a hit and miss thing tho its still under warranty so i think im gonna call nintendo but does anyone have any solutions to the problem so i dont have to send it away to nintendo?

Give the lens a clean, give the discs a clean, make sure the Cube is in a well ventilated area with plenty of space around its sides to breathe. If its still playing up, yeah call Nintendo Services to have it checked out.

What would you suggest using to clean the lens and inside of the GC?

I use a cotton bud (or Q-tip to you Americans) for cleaning stuff like that.

I've heard that with Nintendo repairs, they sometimes send you a system and then you use the same box to ship it back. Definitely worth looking into if you're under warranty.
