Didn't Chrono Trigger have a password code that used both? I remember it being tricky to pull off with a keyboard.

Yeah it was LARA. Anyways, just about every figting game for the system I suppose.

hi everyone,
which SNES games required the use of both the "L" and "R" buttons at the same time for special moves?
I suppose if you modified the button configuration for any of the Street Fighter games you could have Zangief's spinning clothes line move use both the L and R....

Actually, LARA does not involve buttons pressed at the same time, only sequentially. Likewise for the Donkey Kong Country codes.
There was a much earlier (and quite insurmountable) point in Chrono Trigger when you first get to 2100 A.D. where you have to press L+R+A at the same time. This generates considerable E-mail to emulator authors, I understand; if you're not using a joypad in ZSNES the only way you can get around it is to program a keyboard macro.
There's also the old code in SMW that lets you re-enter fortresses and castles that you previously finished by pressing L+R.

All the Squaresoft games I can think of can be reset with L+R+start+select, at the same time.
