I have one but it cost way too much for all the mod and all...

if you are thinking of CD/SCD games try to get SCD-ROM module as well...
Whole thing - inc. SCD-ROM module - shouldn't cost you more than $100 plus shipping... Go for unboxed if you want to save some money...

for me it was freebie the seller sent and I spend around $190 to do mod and other jobs on it - I had to send it away for some mod and all.. expensive way to do I suppose... :(

There is one up now for 150$ that has been relisted several times, but that was a bit high for me, and I wasn't in love with the games he was selling with it.

got my SCD-ROM module from gamechoiceclub for $50 plus shipping. and my SGX was freebie but I remember seeing those at around $40-50 on eBay... not sure its current rate as I haven't followed nowadays...

FWIW I got my PC Engine Duo boxed off eBay for $47 plus shipping as the seller had about 4-5 on the auction early this year... Sold it for $65 couple of months back - I know I could've get more but hey $20 profit wasn't that bad... Besides I already have PC Engine Duo-RX anyway...

Wow, those are some pretty good prices for not being in Japan! I don't think I've ever seen Duo etc. stuff for that cheap.

I bet you bought the Duo off of Hideyuki Muto? He's a good guy to deal with.

Ahh - but I imagine that since you are in Australia you guys pay much lower rates for imported stuff from japan.....


Still though, those are very nice prices on the Duos. I figure the setup I want to end up with is a:
US Turbografx 16 (have already)
Supergrafx (trying to get)
and a PC Engine Duo R or RX (eventually)

I could get a Cd unit for the supergrafx or the turbo, but the white pc engine duos are too slick.
