"This thing is a total rip-off. The only reason to play these games is for the nostalgia value, and it doesn't even have that."

Hilarious.

Well, it's TRUE. :)

Really, you're better off just buying Atari Anthology -- have'nt we allready seen that in a million places? :P

The console is only interesting to see how close someone could come to reproducing a version of Atari 2600 games on a Famiclone... since that's all it is. It can play Megaman 2 if it wanted.

I had the Flashback on my Xmas list, but after playing a demo unit at Best Buy, I wasn't impressed. The unit looked brand new, but the controllers were awful and the games were poorly reproduced. Not worth the $40+ price tag - I agree with the above review.

I was always disappointed by the Flashback console. It had two few games to warrant a $40 purchase. Perhaps if it had most of the 7800 library built in, not just five games (and 10 2600 titles) it would be different.

As for Atari Anthology, I'm mad that they didn't include Space Invaders. That was the game that made everyone WANT a 2600. I'm sure Atari could have worked something out with Taito.
