Hard to tell, honestly. Even Nintendo's own site doesn't offer a list. But the rule of thumb is, if you see a game drastically drop in price, it's probably about to become a Player's Choice.

Best bet is to just type the game title into eBay and take a few minutes to browse that to see if any Player's Choice ones come up.
In the UK it's easy to spot cos they come in platinum silver coloured boxes.
It's almost always Nintendo first party games, but a few EA games Etc have also been converted to the dark side.
I can't offer any help apart from tell you which UK ones have been changed to Player's Choice. I suppose you could list the games you have been checiking out though, and see if anyone else knows either a definate yes or no...

Yep, that's it.
On another note, the DP online rarity guide for the Gamecube is pretty accurate as to what games have become Player's Choice titles (with exception to some of the newer stuff). It's not a list, but if you're unsure about whether a certain game is a Player's Choice title or not, just look it up on the guide and if it is, it will be noted in the description.

Don't forget Nintendos new policy that if a game sells 250.000 copies (they count preorders as well) it will get an ugly "Best Seller" emblem printed over the boxart.

Oh, I don't think we get them on ours... At least I hope we don't!!!
We just get the normal versions and then the Player's Choice ones after (I presume) a million copies sold...
Has anyone noticed the PS2 Platinum label's have changed design???

"Best Seller" emblem doesn't really bother me at all, I'd take that any day over player's choice yellow bar on top and side, BTW, where's DP's rarity guide in this site? I have trouble navigating through the list.

I wish Mario Tennis would go PC. I don't feel that game is worth $50.

I'm farily certain that the only game that has no non-PC version is the Pac-Man World 2 w/Pac-Man vs.
As for Sonic Mega Collection, I have a non-PC one which I got week of release.

I don't think any of the games on that list went straight to Player's Choice.
I personally own a non-PC copy of Sonic Mega Collection, so I can verify that - that's why I bought it when I did - I don't like the ugly yellow PC banner.
There are also non-PC copies of Pac-Man World 2 out there. I learned that when I was trying to figure out how to get Pac-Man Vs. without having to buy the PC version of Pac-Man World 2. That bundle was only released under the Player's Choice banner though, so if you're collecting variations, then that's one you'd have to pick up.

The "best seller" tag doesn't get immediately applied by the looks of things; my Paper Mario 2 has it, but my Mario Power Tennis does not.

I've seen the Best Seller Tag on Paper Mario 2, Mario Tennis, Smash Bros and the PC version of Wind Waker. The oddest part is, there seems to be no pattern to it. I'll see the BS (lol) version of Paper Mario 2 at Best Buy, then when they get a new shipment in, it doesn't have it.
Quite possibly the most bizzare one I've seen was at Target. They got in a good 30 copies of Smash Bros Melee, and they had put the BS stamp on it... but there was no Player's Choice stripe! O_O

Actualy the only PC-version GC game is Pacman combo title, as far as Sonic Mega Collection, I have a sealed copy here myself, this game is one of the GC games that I want to keep sealed, I have about 10 GC games sealed here that will become very rare in the future when Ninty slapped yellow PC labels on them, even worse, some games have both PC and Best Seller labels, ouch! Such as Kirby Air Ride, I grabbed the last copy at my store that's original version.
One great weekend find, during my TRU 70% off game hunt in MPLS/St Paul areas, I came across a sealed copy of Super Monkey Ball 2 in original format, it's one among hundreds I came across.

I have non-PC versions of Sonic Mega Collection, Super Monkey Ball 2, and Kirby's Air Ride. They are NOT sealed, but do they have a chance at being considered 'rare?'

Not really. I'm pretty sure a game has to sell a certain amount of copies before it actually gets a PC reprint.

Well hopefully you know where the list is, Vince!

Just select GameCube and press the "find it" button. Steve has done a great job keeping up with the Player's Choice titles, though the list is about three weeks old now.

i hate to say it, but the nintendo PC-labeled games are by far the least heinous of greatest hits lines...when i had to replace my copy of mario sunshine, the only difference was the insert. the manual and disc were the same as the old version.

This is one question I please need answered. Do the player's choice version games have any kind of label on the GAME ITSELF that says player's choice or something??
Like Nintendo million seller games did in the past.
(I have not yet to buy ANY PC games for the GC)

It also seems like some stores have the player choice stickers to put on the front of the box, on the outside of the shrink wrap. I noticed this at target, there was 2 games I wanted they both had the yellow PC bar on the top front, but I got them out of the case I noticed it was only a sticker and the side and rest of box had no PC marking. So if you see alot of PC copies in a store, check them all.
Anyone know if Double Dash will be joining this list soon?? I am sure it has met Nintendos quota for greatest hits by now. My wife keeps telling me to hold off from buying since she thinks it will. :hmm:

Yes, one more hard to find sealed non-PC game found, Luigi's Mansion, have been looking for this one for a while, but got one at K-Mart in the middle of no where Minnesota, this is the only one they have in the pile of 10 (the rest are all PC version).
Now I'm down to only 2 games that's pretty tough to find, Animal Crossing and Super Monkey Ball 1. The others that I want can be located, I'm watching those stocks carefully until they're down to last copy.

I'm actually a weirdo that likes the GameCube player choice games. I found Burnout in both regular and Player's Choice formats at a store, and I bought it as a Player's Choice because I like how it looks better.
It's the only style of release that I like this generation (well, that and Sega All*Stars for the Dreamcast). I also didn't mind the original Playstation Greatest Hits lineup.
