saw a brand new copy of super mario deluxe for the game boy color today at one of those 7 day indoor swap meets for $20. since this is the same current price for the gba smb game, i was wondering if anyone who has played both has a preference or thinks that one captures the feel of the original better than the other. i know that smb deluxe has the "lost levels" and other bells & whistles. is $20 a good price for an unopened smb deluxe? i've been waiting for the price to drop on the gba version but i don't know if that's happening anytime soon. thanks in advance for the feedback.

I haven't played the GBA SMB, but I'd suggest getting SMB DX. You get a lot more for your $20.

Imo, the only real advantage the GBA version has is that you can play SMB on a DS.

Well I have really haven't played SMB on GBA but I do have SMB DX.

DX has camera issues but it is a perfect port other than that.

DX, you get SMB1 and SMB2J in one cart..plus a race mode called "Vs. Boo" or get two copies for a two player Vs is fun!.....GBA SMB is just the NES game straight up...nothing new added...except a save feature...which SMB DX already has...

I think it's like go over the file you want to get rid of and hit select..

or it should be under options for "File Delete"

If you hold down
Select while selecting "Clear" (press A to activate), ALL saved game
information will be deleted.

and for the record, to unlock Super Mario Bros. for Super Players (aka SMB2J)

Get a top score of over 300,000 in original 1985 Mode without a game over

To unlock You Vs. Boo....100,000 points in Original 1985 Mode without a game over

I like how DX has the lost levels built in, but I hate hate hate the camera. Which is why I prefer the gba one-all those extras are cute and all, but when you have to constantly move around the camera so you don't run into a hidden cheep cheep or something, it's a pain in the ass.
