I promise, I haven't been drinking! (Genesis Related)

Ok, now first of all I am perfectly 100% sane, and I haven't been drinking!

Now that we have that out of the way....last week I was at a pawn shop in town that still carries Genesis games, they were all loose but they wanted 5.00 each for em, which is way too much IMO for loose Genesis games.

But I seen one that struck me as very very odd, It had 4 letters in the title, I remember one of the words being "Mighty" (not Mighty Max or MMPR). I remember picking it up and thinking "wow, what a way to rip off the Power Rangers" because the name of the game was pretty similar to that of the MMPR. I think I remember a purple monster on the cover. It had the normal red strip on the left side of the cart.

Now here's the strange part, I've scoured the DP rarity list, I've scoured a complete ROM list, I've searched eBay and Google...and even though I don't know the full name, I'd know it when I seen it.

If I didn't have to work, I'd have already been there buying it, and I may not be able to get there until next week. Now, does anyone have ANY FRIGGIN' IDEA what the hell this game is? It's driving me batty!

The only title I can think of is Mazin Saga Mutant Fighter (One of my favorite Genesis games). I can't remember what the cover looks like though.

BTW, the game didn't rip off the Power Rangers. Mazinger has been around for a looong time.

Unfortunately though, the only boxed Genesis game they had was Sonic The Hedgehog 1, and they wanted 7.00 for that one. :hmm:

I mean't the name sounded like Power Rangers, actually more like Ninja Turtles, that's just what I thought. Genesis is a great system, I just still find games that I've never seen before on it! LOL

I'm with you here. The only loose Genny game I've paid over $5 for is Gunstar Heroes. I paid about five bucks for a loose Genesis 6-pak, thought it was a decent deal for six games. Then a week later I find a loose one for $2.50! :frustrated: Oh well, I still got six games for less than I would have got them for seperately.

That's a great game. For a LONG LONG time the name of the game plagued me. I desribed it on another forum as being exactly like power rangers (you start small and fight a boss than grow into a large demon and fight the same boss MK style) and that the first level had these enemies that roll into a ball. I had thought the name of the game was mutant fighter but could never find a rom or anything with that name. Then I found it's actually MAZIN DARK SAGA mutant fighter, lol. That was the very last game I bought for my genesis and funny enough, I left it at my friends house when I moved to AZ from Florida which is why I remembered it so well.
