My dad's video store is clearing out of Playstation games (because they're like haven't rented...at all...in the last year). Most, if not all have instructions and many have the box. We have about 800 for sale for $4.99 each. What ones should I watch out for? Any rares that I could buy, or that the store could sell for more on ebay or something? I already grabbed Castlevania: SotN and Castlevania Chronicles for myself, and I pulled Suidoken (followed by a bunch of Japenese symbols) from the shelf, knowing Suidoken games sold for a decent price. Anything else I should watch for when I go back? I'm gonna take a shower, re-check DP, and then go. No, I do not have some sort of inventory list I can post and for any of you guys, the discs and instructions have stickers all over them (if that makes a difference to some of you).
Thanks! Remember, I know there's a rarity guide and all, but I don't need a list of protos and one-of-a-kind imports and stuff. I need rare games, but most importantly games that would sell for more. Thanks!

I think there was an Inyasha game on the PS1 that is supposedly hard to find now.

Silent Bomber, I.Q., and the really obscure Tail of the Sun are all games I had to look for forever.
They're all good games, too - I really enjoy playing all three.

look for any longbox titles. fox hunt and psychic detective are pretty damn hard to get a hold of, and so is brain dead 13 in its box. though the chances of that showing up complete are pretty low. i think zoop is a tough one to get in the longbox too.
also, if you find misadventures of tron bonne, you should mail it to me. :P

You can use the rarity guide above. Just select "Playstation" on the left and on the right choose "Scarcity" and ">=" whatever rarity level you're looking for. I'd start with 5 and go from there.

$4.99 for pretty much any complete PlayStation RPG is a good price.

Well, back from day 1. I shall go back tomorrow.
For myself, I picked up:
Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete - Soundtrack disc, 2 game discs, map (cloth), hardcover instruction book
Lunar 2 Eternal Blue Complete - Soundtrack Case, Soundtrack disc, Making Of disc, map/poster (paper), 3 game discs, hardcover instruction book
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - instructions, disc
Kingsley's Adventure - instructions, disc, box insert
^I rented that one day when I was sick home from school in 5th grade. Kinda always wanted it.
Bust a Groove 2 - instructions, disc, box insert
The Misadventures of Tron Bonne - instructions, disc, mega man legends 2 demo, box insert (sorry sharc, I've wanted that too and they only had 1 copy ;) )
For the store to sell online I got:
Dragon Warrior VII
DDR (original)
DDR Konamix
Breath of Fire III
Breath of Fire IV
Suikoden
Castlevania Chronicles
Silent Bomber
and (get this) Fox Hunt! Yes, they had an R8 game, box and discs (no instructions) selling for $8! I snagged it. Right now, there's only 1 on USA EBay, and that's at a buy it now of $40. w00t!
I'll go back tomorrow with that list posted before.

It's known in Japan as "Kula Quest" and in the US as "Roll Away".
From what I gather, the Euro version is quite rare, and I haven't seen the US version since I bought my copy new even though it's only an R5...quite an interesting little game, though. :)

here is one really obscure title to look for:
The Adventures of Lomax. This game was done by the folks who did Flink of Sega CD. Flink is really cool and I heard that this was a good game too. Probably not worth alot other than to the insanely hardcore.
Of coure you can make some money with solid copies of Valkyrie Profile and Suikoden II. Suikoden I is rather common and not really worth much. Rhapsody seems to go for some money but honestly is not that great of a game and the soundtrack is lousy--but hey thats just my opinion.
