1. I read earlier about three different labels for the SMB/Duck Hunt NES games. What are they again? Are either of them harder to find than the other or...?

2. Why is Keio: Flying Squadron the rarest SCD game? Low production count or something?

Well, for the Mario / DH question -

1) Cart with just Mario Bros. or just Duck Hunt on it. Both black box releases - label in classic "black box" era style. These were the stand alone carts sold in stores.

2) Classic Mario / Duckhunt cart - the one everyone and thier grandma has. Bundled with most NES systems, along with a light gun.

3) Mario / Duckhunt / Word Class Track Meet - later release, has a silver label that has miniture pictures of all three games on the front. Slightly rarer then the Regular Mario / DH cart [I think EVERY cart is rarer then the regular Mario / DH, though]. Bundled with the later toaster models, along with a light gun and game mat.

EDIT - with the possible exception of the Duck Hunt cart, none of these is worth more then $1. I'd probably pay $2 for a stand alone Duck Hunt cart.

It is a great game. Anyone ever try the sequel (I think it's on Saturn)?

Well, for the Mario / DH question -

No, no, he's asking about the label variations for the Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt cartridge.

One has a solid blue line separating the two games, one doesn't. The blue variant, comparitively, is much rarer, but it's still worth dirt.

As someone already said, evidence suggests that it was a low production run. Back in 1994, no one foresaw high demand for a 2-D shooter that featured a big-eyed bunny girl riding a dragon and roasting raccoons. The SegaCD started to exit the industry around that time, so production numbers for games may have been reduced across the board.

Some Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt cartridges have the Nintendo Seal of Quality and others don't. I don't either is rarer than the other.

Yes! Part platformer, part shooter. 100% fun.

Hey thats cool people pay attention to what i say sometimes.

I wasn't aware any of them were harder to find but i knew they were all worth nothing still.

I remember when TRU was getting rid of their Sega CD stock around here years ago, they had a bunch of Keio Flying Squadron slips for $20.

I played the sequel on Saturn. I like how the key that was lost in the first game made a cameo appearance in the second. Also the third game on PSX, though not much, since that one was a board game, Japanese text.
