OK, use to own a xbox, got halo, got panzer dragoon. Got bored sold it. Now that halo II and SVC Chaos are out i really need some help figuring out what is the best set up for me. So here are a few questions i need some help with.
1. What is a sufficient amount of speed needed for me to play live with 4 players? If i don't have to buy the quickest broadband setup I would really like to save the money. However, if I will have slowdown problems that is not cool.
So what is just the right amount of speed i need to play with no problems?
2. What is a good live kit to get? I would like to get 12 months free live, but i would much rather have a set that works the best.
I have seen the kind that straps to your head and the kind that just has a microphone where the memory card slot is.
Which is better?
I see some of the kits come with a mech game or crimson skies. which game is better?
3. What are some good live games? Obviesly chaos and halo 2.
4. What is the best racing game that is live on the box? I really like a nice simulation racing game. Also arcade racing is good. Not really interested in mission based racing games like midnight club and what not.
5. What is the best arcade stick avaible for the x box under $50.00?
I am confident you all will give me some top notch information so I will just say thank you all now.
THANKS!

Whoa....I will do my best to keep up with you. :)
#1. If you plan on hosting a 4 player game than you need an internet connection that will give you atleast 512mbs upload. You will need a much higher upload rate to host more players.
#2. Get the 12 month kit w/the headset. That speaker com shit that plugs into the controller is pure garbage. Both Mechassault and Crimson Skies are great games, so go with what you think you will like more.
#3. Check on Xbox.com for the top 25 most played Xbox Live games for ideas.
#4. Project Gotham Racing 2, Need 4 speed Underground 2, and Rallisport Challenge 2. Just a few.
#5. None, The good ones will set you back a little over $50. Most you will need to get imported if you want a real good one.

By hosting a 4 player game do you mean me and 3 friends sitting around playing on 1 console?
also, can you point me in the direction of these sticks?

yes, he means you and 3 others on the same box playing against more people online in team training and rumble pit training (the unranked games on live....if you play by yourself you can play ranked matches)
as for importing sticks, try Lik-Sang (http://www.lik-sang.com)

For Halo 2, tholly has it right since its the first game that uses that type of hosting system. But say you create a game online that supports 16 players from all over the world and your hosting (everyone joined your "room" and is using your upload speed) .. You would need a connection that offers something in the 1000's mbs just in upload. Considering most providers, you should me fine hosting a small amount of players...2-4, maybe 2-6 with no lag. Just ask the broadband provider what their upload speed is, in case you dont have any at the moment. If you want to play with your friends all using 1 Xbox ( they are all on the side of you), try not to host games incase you have a low upload rate. Just join other people's games and you should be fine since you will be using a high download rate.
Another company that offers arcade sticks is,
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-14-71-2a.html
They are based in Hong Kong so shipping is whats going to hurt.
If you have any questions just post. :)
