While Xmas shopping today I hit a couple of stops along the way. Picked up Baby Boomer for NES... seems to be a rental box version $10...more than I like to pay for Nes games, but so rare for me to find anything I dont already have...
Next stop, picked up a Channel F (minus cover) for $3.
Not bad for 2 quick stops. I don't hunt anywhere near as much as I used too. Nice to see you can still pick things up based on luck instead of obsessive persistance... LOL

I scored an absolutely MINT complete of "Hey You, Pikachu!" (N64)....most likely bought for a small child who had no interest in it. We're talking an instruction book that hadn't been handled. $15 Canadian.

If I remember correctly what you have to do is plug a licensed SNES cart on the top, then plug it into the SNES. Since Noah was not licensed it uses the licensed cart to trick the SNES into playing it. I only tried it with SMW but other games should work.

Dayum! That's a NICE find. However, Baby Pac-Man is one of the most dreaded arcade machines ever made by techs. They break down like nobody's business...poor design. They're constantly going down. I dealt with a tech who had three of them and he said he'd never had one stay running properly for more than a week. Still, very neat :D

traded my consolized MVS 1-slot (sorry D-lite! i loved it like a child, but the NES called) w/ joysticks, and 10 MVS carts. nothing *super* rare or valuable, but a nice cross section of stuff (metal slug 1-3, waku waku 7, etc.) that runs a fair amount of $ or is not easy to find, and i would only part with it all for a large NES lot.

i love the NG stuff, but i've always wanted to build a large NES collection to relive my youth, and always skirted around the issue by getting into something else, since i'm not a patient person (something building a large collection of non-destroyed NES stuff requires). there's no way i could have found everything i want locally in condition i would find acceptable, so it goes back to the patience issue. ;) BUT i did want something i could find stuff for locally in the wild if i get bored on a saturday or something and want to go hunting.

i've jumped from collecting dreamcast games when it was on the market, to PS1 games, to japanese MD games, N64 games, to current gen, to MVS stuff, to the NES stuff i originally planned on when i started grabbing mega drive stuff. fortunately, whenver i got bored with something i'd manage to parlay it into paying for the next venture, but i'm sticking with this, i swear. it's my new years resolution to get this and stick with it. :D
