I recently bought a debug (blue) playstation on ebay. The system has a lock glued onto it, but according to the seller, with a hair dryer and some yanking it will come off, as it's only glued to the system. Now my question is, if I do pull the lock off
A) Wil it damage the system at all? Will the glue have eaten away at the plastic of the system, leaving a discolored spot I can't get rid of
and
B) If all it leaves is glue residue, whats the best way to remove it from the console?
Thanks!

blue consoles are not "debug" units black are if im not misstaken the blue is a version that was released with the vcd plugin built in not 100% sure dho..
and if its like any normal psx you can simply open the unit remove the lid and then use your hairdryer otherwise you might damage the electronics within

IIRC, the ones with VCD built in were white(bright white, not the Playstation white/grey), and mostly distributed in Hong Kong.
