Sorry if this has been discussed before....

I know many stores must do this with old game guides but I find it very profitable....I get all mine from ToysRus for a penny each...every now and then I get them for a half a penny O_O what if I only wanted one? Any way...after buying them all I walk right next door to Gamestop and trade them right in...Game Cube I get $1 each, Gameboy Advance-X BOX-PS2 all .50 each... That is in store credit...only one problm is that if I get like 20 of the same guide they usually only take 7 and I have to trade more in at a later time or at a different Gamestop....Anyway just wondering if anyone else buys guides and does this?

At the moment I have a bunch of F-Zero guides for Game cube if anyone is interested?

I do the same thing but i get my guides at EB or best buy and sell them at a local used book store for 3.00 each cash. then i can buy all the games i need. I usually walk out of there with $40.00- $50.00 bucks each visit.

Damn, I'm just happy when I can buy em like that for the collection and trade off the spares....I've never turned a profit with em.

Simple, read the junkout section in the merchandise packet ;D. I never ever buy em though.....just throw them into the compactor. Guess I'll have to start taking advantage....I have an idea of where I could trade these in for a decent sum and buy a bunch of used games.

Can anyone read this, or is it for employes only?

It's for employees....it's the sunday ad set merchandise packet. It occasionally has game guide junk outs but no one ever does them, it's not really a high priority on that day.

One time I traded in fifteen penny guides for a complete set of Rocky & Bullwinkle VHS tapes at a used toy and media store. I was the happiest boy in the world for like a whole week.

well i keep at least one copy for my self to, i have over 600 different guides and videogame books. remember everything is worth something to somebody so it's worth keeping for selling later.
