I hope I linked on this okay. After my first post I was directed here.

My name is Travis and I live in Portland, Oregon.

I found these freaking awesome forums by luck. To be honest, I have no idea how I stumbled upon them. They've been in my bookmarks section forever, and they're pretty much the first place (besides insertcredit) that I go when I get to work or get home. Always the best topics here.

I've always been a Sega guy. No, change that. An underdog guy. Everybody else bought the NES? I bought an SMS. Genesis/SNES? TG-16. PS/N64? Saturn. Then a Jaguar. Yep, I buy sucky systems, but I make up for it with lots of sarcasm!

I currenly own an SMS, Sega CD, TG-16, Virtual Boy, Jaguar, Saturn, Gamecube, Xbox and who knows what the hell else.

I'm a paralegal in "real life".

The Sega CD was my first big collection. I swear it must have been Working Designs that got me started. Maybe it was TG-16? I don't know, I just know I love collections and how they look on my shelf.

Thanks to all for welcoming me aboard!

Waddaminute, you said you didn't get a genesis...

Then how in God's name do you have a Sega CD?!

Welcome! I'm originally an Oregonian too....used to hunt that area from time to time for games myself! Enjoy the forums...lots of great people here and it's a valuable resource too!

What I meant was that I didn't buy a Genesis when it first came out. I was TG-16 all the way. However, when the Sega CD started to go under, all the stores were selling their games cheaply, so I started collecting right away. I own exactly one Genesis cart, which is Castlevania: Bloodlines. Great game.

Hey.....I think that the N64 was a very popular underdog system :D

That's why I love and collect it. I was perhaps lucky enough that I wasn't a gamer during those "got burned by INSERT FAILED SYSTEM HERE" years. It must have been frustrating.

Castlevania? I just picked up Lament Of Innocence today. Looks like another killer Castlevania game.
