I was just wondering if any of you have dead pixels on your DS. If so, do they really effect it? Are they still playable? Its just i've heard a lot of people moaning about dead pixels and i always thought a few dead pixels wouldnt change anything..

Thanks in advance,

Joe. :)

I have one on my DS.

It took me two hours to even notice it in the first place, and in the majority of the games I've played, I can't even notice it unless the screen is black.

Personally, just from a collector's standpoint, I'm still debating a trade on it. But from a gaming standpoint, it really doesn't bother me one bit.

It annoys me.I found the little white specks on my screen to be distracting.
If you even have to think about trading it in do it, Theres no reason not to get what you paid for. Seriously, why pay $150 for an unsatisfactory product?

I've bought 4 DS's (for me and 3 pals) and only 1 has dead pixels (2 on the left side of the top screen). I find it totally annoying and distracting. But that's just me - I tend to be a bit anal about that sort of thing!

Aparently you don't have an LCD monitor or TV. Dead pixels are very common and most warranty pages explicitly state that under a certain number (in some cases 10) do not qualify for replacement. The first LCD monitor I had had one bad pixel almost in the center of the screen. Fortunately, there were other problems with it so getting a replacement wasn't a problem.

I just got mine today and it has one on each screen :( . I don't think that I will try to get a replacement because I can deal with it (but it does annoy me.) I seem to not have good luck seeing how my Classic SP has one as well. :(

EDIT: I also feel that it will probably develop some dead pixels anyways so I am not too concerned.

I had one in the touch screen. It bugged the crap out of me so I took it back and got a new one.

That kind of thing bugs me though @_@

It bugged me so bad that I couldn't even play
