Kakuto Chojin rare? still waiting.

As I look through my pile of rare games, I have one in the collection that is like a scar, sticking out and shining through the true gems of my collection.

Remember the hype and buying frenzy created when the game was pulled?

I bought in and I have seen the value of this rare title drop like a stone.

Its the end of the year. I think I am going to incorporate this as a loss when I report my 2004 taxes. LOL

Yeah, I remember that hype. The problem is that the XBOX is still a current system. The value will go up after the next gen systems come out.

Personally, I've never seen that game in a store, ever. I'm not one to buy for rarity alone, so my question is, is it worth playing?

That's the other thing you're overlooking. Althouhg it is rare, it's not THAT rare. Yes, it was pulld, but the numbers are at least in the thousands. SO it's not like the crazy 2600 gams where we can actually list where every copy is. If anyone really wants one, they'll be able to find it. That said, the game is apparently crap, and not in demand. Being rare alone does not give anything value, there needs to be a demand for the product as well, and at this time the demand isn't there.

Ya it is nothing spectacular.
I picked up a used copy for 17 bucks.
They had a few new ones still at 50 (I bet i could still get them) but that was more than i was willing to pay.

Apparantly there are also 2 versions of the game. One with the prayer and one without.
I wouldn't know how to check though. :/

only the 1st print JPN release is considered to be rare...
believe that's the only version with Koran chanting as BGM or something...

Give it awhile and it may shoot back up in price. I myself actually kinda like playing this game. I have no clue why. I still need to pick up one that is sealed.

i recieved a free copy when i was workin at target...the xbox rep came and tookl are copies and there was a few in a box in the back, so we all took a copy
