Anyone got games they play to cheer them up if they're sad or had a rough day?
Katamari Damacy (Something about it just make sme happy and laugh)
GTA series (Nothing like blowing stuff up, especially if you work in retail)

I betcha everyone is gonna pick Katamari Damacy. It's true, though. It IS a great game to play when you're feeling a little blue.
Star Ocean games always make me happy too. :) And nothing puts a smile on your face like a little time with Choaniki.

For some very odd reason Puzzle Bobble always cheers me up. :hmm:

I like playing NES games to raise my spirits. Something about the simplicity of games like Batman, Jaws, and tetris just soothes the spirit :)

Playing skateboarding games on the NES always cheers me up, like
Skate or Die, 720, and the skateboarding part of T&C Surf Designs.

I second Katamari Damacy. It's just perfect for that kind of mood, the colors, the music, the game itself... it's easy to get a smile back with it.

Any good videogame cheers me up!
If it takes a laugh to snap out of it though, there's nothing quite as effective as Pepsiman on my funny bone.
Is it just me or does anyone feel happy after they play any SNK fighter game?
King of Fighters
Samurai Showdown
Waku Waku 7
Cheer-me-ups :-P

Anything that's relatively easy, fast, and fun with bright colors and no big fat "FAILURE!" or "GAME OVER!" like Super Smash Bros. Melee or something.
I like:
-Moonbase Commander (PC)
-Katamari Damacy for sure (PS2)
-Ms. Pac Man (any old system)
-Burger Time (same)
-Super Mario Sunshine (GCN)
-sometimes a Zelda game as long as I'm not stuck in a dungeon
-maybe some dumb & dorky little e-Reader game like Clu-Clu Land or something.
-Pokémon

I used to play Wave Race 64 when I was depressed. It had the perfect effect on me. Katamari Damacy would just piss me off more, if I had already had a bad day. Damn ridiculous controls.

Incredible Crisis. There's nothing like playing one goofy mini-game after another. That, and the over-the-top far-fetched story always illicits a few laughs.

Doom, Doom 3, System Shock 2, Serious Sam, Deus Ex, etc.
Nothing like obliterating waves of enemies brutally to get me out of a deep funk. Seriously. It just makes me really happy to mow down 4thousands of enemies into bloody messes. I don't question it. I just enjoy it :)

It never hurts to play some of the classics! Galaga, Joust and Defender are always a good distraction. Heck, sometimes I bring up Adventure on my old 2600 for a couple laughs. I know I've solved the puzzle over and over but it's still a fun game.
I'd also recommend Shanghai and Lemmings. Good distracting games.

Kirby's Adventure (NES), Ristar (Genesis), Wiz 'n' Liz (Genesis), a bunch of early-1980s arcade games... too many to mention.

I usually can't play games if i'm upset. When I lose I get so heated and break something.
I like to just sit in my room.... and spina round slowly admiring all my games. I am being dead serious. Nothing cheers me up like looking at my collection.

jumping flash! always makes me smile. looks pretty old these days, but penguins in bow ties and giant frying pans cooking eggs over volcanoes never get old. LOL
resident evil 2, once i had unlocked the infinite ammo special weapons like the minigun, was also quite stress relieving.

Oh so true. Even if it gets frustrating a smile always returns as I get the ball rolling again. LOL

I'll third, fourth, and fifth Katamari Damacy. I love that game sooooo much. It's so...soothing. :D
Also, Chrono Trigger & Earthbound (my 2 favorite games of all time) always make me feel good inside.

Sword of the Berserk on Dreamcast. There's nothing like going crazy, seeing RED all over the screen, and emptying bucket-fulls of your enemies' blood to lift my spirits a bit!
What game makes ME happy?
PenPen TriIcelon!!!!
Other feel good games? Shenmue, PSO, Final Fantasy X or a game of Mah-Jongg on my PC.
