I have nothing against this auction or the seller but it amazes me that people actually buy bootleg crap like this:

The package is laid out like the original style packaging with the PlayStation trademark along the edge. "Compatible with" in tiny print. They even go so far as to put the real Sony SCPH-1020 model number on the package.

"True Memory for True Gamers", whatever the hell that means. This reminds me of the chinese junk I see in the local dollar stores.

I think most people would buy that because it's looks legit, at least to the average consumer. I had to look twice to see some of the things you mentioned.

I don't think that is too bad. The seller lists it as "third party", and they don't try to pass it off as a official Sony product. For some people .01 + 5.00 is the right price for a PSX memory card. If I was looking for one I guess I would think about buying this one.

Does Sony even make the original PSX memory cards anymore? If not the alternitave would be a used one that you don't know how it was mistreated. At least this one is new and should perform correctly.
