Guys
Is there a cricket game that will play on an NTSC genesis? I have a Brian Lara but it's pal and will only play on an RGB monitor.
I'm looking for a cricket game (its an impulse I have no clue why) and any sega system would do. Any non pal sega maybe? Any sega system.
Thanks

To my knowledge the only other cricket game on any sega system is Brian Lara 96 (also on MD). There arent really that many cricket games out, even on non-sega consoles (shame really). If you want a cricket game thats fun but not on a sega system then you cant go past super international cricket on the snes ;)

You don't need an ARR-GEE-BEE monitor to play a PAL Mega Drive game - just a convertor cart or modded Genesis will be sufficient.

Brian Lara 96 rolls on the screen. Either in my 32X or Model 3. Even trying it on RF produces the same result.
Something to do with a timing difference. I do have some other PAL games that work but this one doesn't.

Ah yeah, sorry. That'll be because Codemasters games are optimised for 50Hz since they're developed over here. My mistake. :embarrassed:
The only other cricket games I've ever played were Graham Gooch Cricket on the Amiga and the Playstation version of Brian Lara. Might be worth trying to find out whether Codemasters Playstation games are similarly 50Hz-dependant or not.

Hmm
I actually just got a new monitor I should be able to use as soon as I get some BNC adapters. This is a small 10 inch so it is a bot more portable than the 20 inch CONRAC monster that weighs 82 lbs that I was playing my R g B games on. :)

you need a mega key convertor. not just a plain cart adaptor- the mega key has dip switches for different regions: PAL/NTSC-J/NTSC US and should work on most genesis systems. they usually go for about $25-$35 when you can find them...
