Ok...fair warning on this, although it may be a false alarm, so take it with a grain of salt and I apologize in advance if it is a false alarm!
I recently contacted SuperFly98, who has posted a bunch of trade items on this Buying and Selling forum. He is looking for all sors of things in trade for his XBox and a bunch of rare games, as seen in this thread: http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4860
I PMed him and we agreed on a deal in trade for his XBox. I shipped today and he talked to me via IM today and said that he shipped out the XBox system this morning.
Now I was leery about shipping simultaneously because he has NO online feedback and only a single IM reference and nothing else, but he seemed like a nice guy. His VERY first post to the forum was a bunch of rare and valuable stuff for trade and he was asking for very little in return
Later today, I was talking to a friend of mine from this forum, who may choose to make himself known later, and he told me about this insane deal he was getting from a guy on DP. I asked him if it was from SuperFly98 and he said "yes, it's a great trade for an XBox system." This made me understandably nervous, as not many (no?) people have two XBox systems available for trade for random DVDs, VHS tapes and a few games. Apparently, SuperFly98 made a deal for the same system with my friend last night, at the same time he was making a deal with me for it!
I have a sneaking suspicion that this trader may not be on the level and I wanted to make anyone else that is dealing with him aware ahead of time. I am now worried that I may not be getting a system and will be out a bunch of trade stuff. Just wanted to provide the information in public
SuperFly98, if you really are on the level, I totally apologize for this post and will publicly withdraw my statement and toss in some extra stuff in the trade too! If you are on the level, please explain why you are trading so little for your XBox system, and how you came to have two of them to conveniently trade off at the same time for some of the same exact items?
