Did the site go offline for the holiday or am I the only one who can get the site to appear? I remember Cheapy D went out of town last year, so I had to go cold turkey for a few days...

It does seem to be down at the moment. We grab their RSS feeds on our frontpage and it doesn't look like its been updated since Monday.

I find they have not been updating the site regularly. You need to check their forums for the latest deals

Yeah, the members had been keeping the deals up in the forums all week. Now, I have to go back to my usual methods of listing the lowest price first. I was hoping that I could get the Dec. 26 sale stuff early, so I wouldn't have to go hunting for it.
BTW, dsullo, are you enjoying Arx Fatalis?

I was able to go there this morning, around 11:00. Now, it won't load.

Yeah, I always thought the site was pretty bland for deals until I signed up for the forums, that's where ALL the deals are posted first. I've gotten so much from their posts over there that it's not even funny.

It appears to be working for me now but the most recent date on it is December 17...

Everything looks fine to me.
But yeah, every now and then I'll be surfing the site/boards and all of a sudden it's down. I usually check back an hour or two later and things are fine again.

Sorry...we were trying to update some software on the server and had a screw up...
There may be a bit more downtime...sorry!

Not to hijack the thread or anything (especially since I'm not dsullo), but I just finished Arx Fatalis not long ago and got a kick out of it. I wasn't expecting much from it, but came away pleasantly surprised. :)
Carry on.

Yep...I can't get on either. Doesn't really matter considering I miss almost every deal they post. There's way too many people on that site who snag up everything.

I'm just looking for the regular list of retail sales ... don't tell me you miss out on the standard "$5 off Greatest Hits titles at Circuit City" type deals.
www.salescircular.com is ok, but they don't list Game Boy or DS and they don't publish them in advance. :/
Anyone have any other suggestions?

Bah, no big loss, I left there in lukewarm blood (as opposed to hotblooded) about a month ago and haven't loaded the site once since then.
Why? it's NEVER updated. Call me lazy, fine, I don't want to dig through 20 pages of YMMV posts about how someone ripped off this store and how you could try it too but it might not work.
Back towards the end of 2003 - CAG posted such GREAT deals so often, that I had my AIM blog me everytime it was updated. Lasted about 3-4 months.... Then it was updated 3-4 times per week for awhile.
NOW, CAG was updated with LEGIT non logitech wirleless controller deals stolen from bens 2-3 times PER MONTH.
Screw that.

It's also worth noting that they got hit pretty hard by the same hack that struck both the DP and AtariAge forums. They may still be recovering from that.

Is there anything similar to this site but for the UK? I had a look in the forums it seems to just be American shops and websites...unsurprisingly

cheapassgamer.com has been great to me!
I did very well at the CC, TRU and Game Rush sales. You just have to check the forums every few days and eventually something good will come along.

Yeap..the Forums are where it's all at. That is how I jumped in on that Sears misprint listing R&C:UYA along with the other 14.99 titles they had on special. Course you were supposed to buy two games to get the $30 pricing. But for some reason, my Sears let my wife just pick up the RC game for 14.99 and that was it.
Too bad it was the last one and that the Sonic Megacollection were out.
