I commend his dedication, although I question his skills. It only took me eighteen months of habitual (and by no means as habitual as this bloke) Galaga playing before I could routinely top 200,000 points. Oh, well...Game On!

Hate to nitpick but it's GALAXIAN that he's playing and not GALAGA as you inferred above.

Getting to 399,000 points on Galaxian is pretty impressive. Taking 25 years to get there sounds sad. :( Nevertheless, you've got to admire his determination.

I know he was playing Galaxian, but it's similar enough to Galaga for me to make the comparison about being able to break 200,000 points in this style of game without taking 2+decades to get there.

I'm looking over at my Galaxian cocktail which is no more than 10 feet away from me in my room of doom. I should play him more often. :( On the plus side, my wife and marriage are still A-OK. LOL

It's remarkable really because he's one of us... a Limey, a Brit, a Pondskater (yep I've heard that from a Yank!)... makes a change. We just need a few more people up the ranks. I know someone challenging for the Missile Command world record, he can easily get over a million so far...
