I headed off to the local cenvenience store to pick up a case of Pepsi and nothing else today. While there, I noticed they had quite a bit of used videogames and VHS movies that have been lying around forever. Anyone remember when these stores used to rent out games/movies? Just before I came in, I noticed a case belonging to Secret of Evermore (among the selection of GEN/SNES games), so I asked the cashier how much for the games and he said $8.99. So I came out with the following:

Castlevania: Dracula X (SNES, everything except the manual)
Secret of Evermore (SNES, everything except the manual)
Tetris Attack (SNES, 2 copies, everything except the manual)

Add to that the games/boxes were in excellent condition and I find I did pretty good. Everything for about $45.

I might have to check out these convenience stores more often. LOL

Score!! I to have noticed games in a couple convenience store around me in the past, but nothing of real interest, mostly just crappy PC games. Though I have seen that CVS is selling games now. Anyone know how long they been doing that for?

EB sells Secret of Evermore for $5.99 but cool finds nonetheless.. I'll make a note to look around next time I get the munchies :D

Tetris Attack rules! Is it just me or is it the most psychedelic game ever? Must have been my "state of mind" back wen I used to play it... Damn, makes me want to hook up my SNES... I was also addicted to Kirby's Avalanche, but some girl swiped it from me.

that's a cool find from a convenience store, and all with boxes to boot. It's also nice to see someone else supporting Secret of Evermore, I love that game :)

Nice finds!

The other day where I work some cops came to our a store about an hour before we opened and returned two factory sealed snes games that were taken as "evidence" from an attempted theft in 1994. Took them almost 11 years to close that case.

LoL.
