And look, andre_henretta is bidding on it yet again. Seriously, how does that guy pay his freaking rent? He has to blow like whole pay checks on that game.

I've been watching lately. He pretty much just drives up the prices. Look at the last couple hes bidded on..... doesn't win them. He shill bids, but why?

Maybe Magical Chase scarred him as a child? I dunno.

Honestly, if I were in charge of running ebay, I would ban this guy from ever bidding on that game again. All he does is either raise the price of it by aa hundred bucks, or take another one off the market for no reason.

Three in 1 month. People have figured out this game generates the cash..
Andre RARELY ever wins these. He just likes to keep the prices high, for some unknown reason.

I wish there were more like him. For when I sell.
Does suck a bit when you're looking to buy & you have to compete against him.
Oh he's been outbid as well. :P

And that hurts eBay's profits how...?
If I were eBay, I'd like this guy raising the prices of everything. More money for me.
For all we know, he could be an eBay employee.

He wins his fair share... and he obviously wants more. I've had my own speculations, but I'm going with the building a fort thing on this one.
I'm just waiting to unleash my box of sealed copies that I just got the connection on. My cousin in L.A. got them at some warehouse sale, along with a bunch of boxes of other sealed TTI games. No Dynastic Hero's, though. I think I'll put a couple up on eBay for BIN $50.

I'd prefer the Jap version personally. It normally doesn't seem to fetch as much as the US version. Majority of my games are Jap, so no reason why that can't be either. I will buy this one day, have other wants above it though. Still want to pickup Terra Cresta II

I really can't believe how much people concern themselves with what this guy does with his own money.
It seems like half the people say that one person doesn't have the ability increase the value of a game title. If they're right then who really cares? And if they're wrong and he can, well then more power to him. I give him a lot of credit if he somehow makes a profit off of this strategy.
I'm curious though, do you people believe that a single person has the ability/ power to raise the value of all of the copies of a single game title or not?

I really can't believe it either. I'd just assume that most people get a good laugh out of it like I do, and that's why there's so much banter.
I believe that a single person can raise the price of the game in a specific environment if the conditions are right. Magical Chase on eBay is a case and point. The user andre_henretta (I'm assuming here) likes these and is willing to pay a good amount of money for them. That users bids have also increased over time. When you couple his seemingly increasing desire with the what-seems-to-be newfound desire of other users to pay as much or more than him, you get the high dollar amount that this game now sells for. It didn't used to sell for this much a few years ago. If these keep popping up at the current rate that they are, these will be just as available as they were a few years ago when they sold for roughly $85 to $100 loose.
If that makes any sense.
Another point to note is that a US Magical Chase sold IIRC this spring from the UK for about $120 with the manual. andre_henretta didn't bid on that one.

Honestly I could care less about how many copys of MC this guy wins. Hes an asshole, he shill bids... I leave it at that. It really annoys me cause I know he raised the price of the copy I spent MY money on. I probably could've gotten it cheaper if this butthole wasn't around.

What do you mean by "he shill bids"? Doesn't that mean that he bids on his own auctions under a different user account? Has he sold copies of this game himself yet?

No. Shill bidding is when someone bids with no intents to win or pay, just to raise the price. I don't understand why he shill bids, because he isn't making any money off it but he does. He is just being a jerk ass.

He's not shill bidding. He wins a bunch of the ones he bids on, which if he was shill bidding on something he was paying for he'd be an idiot, but within his rights to do so. None of the people he's bought from have left him negatives so he pays them. It sucks that his odd collection drives up the price of the game, but he isn't doing anything wrong, immoral, or illegal so why don't we all stop the bitching?

He recently won this one. Funny thing is, I know th guy who also bid on the item, but didn't win - mr.ti994a. Andre sent the guy a nasty email after the auction ended, bitching about how he had driven up the final auction price, and threatened to report him to ebay. Now that is the pot calling the kettle black.
For those of you that prefer the japanese version...

Maybe he's finally starting to run out of money. He let that last one (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=8157018895&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT) get by him for a fraction of what he usually pays for them.

Hot likely. He must have a money tree in his backyard or something. He just won another one, for about half of what he paid for the last one.

I suppose that makes me a shill bidder..
I have bid on a certain game from various sellers several times the past month upt my maximum I would pay, each time I was outbid, the poor guy would have got it cheaper if it wasnt for me @_@
this auction malarky shouldnt be allowed ???
