I just have a feeling that I'll be getting one of these tomorrow (;)) to use with Doubutsu No Mori e+, I'm wondering, are there any other Gamecube games that use this adapter?
EDIT: Oh yeah, also, are there any things other than taking pictures that I can do with this in Doubutsu no Mori e+?

As far as I know . . . that is the only game that uses it.
I do know that Nintendo had a download from their Japanese website that you could place on the card. When you opened it in the game, it was a huge mushroom. There might be more.

EDIT: Anyone who knows Japanese want to help a poor English-speaker out? :D

Neither the American, European, nor original Japanese release of AC uses it. Doubutsu No Mori e+, a.k.a. "Animal Forest e+", is an upgrade of the original Japanese Gamecube version of AC. It lacked e-reader support and some other features (like the island), so the game was relaunched with new animals, new items, and features from the American version.

Well, this thing is limited but still really cool. I'm too lazy to upload all of my pics, but here are a couple that feature some things you US-only players will have never seen:

The game saved the original pics as TIFFs but I made them into bitmaps so that loading takes less time. And the little copyright thing in the bottom-right corner was added by the game.

Very cool that you can get pictures of stuff in-game.
What am I looking at in the second photo? I think that animal in is the US game . . . Not sure of its name.
Did you find any interesting downloads?
Would love to see more photos.

In the second photo, I took a picture of... oh, shoot. That was the wrong picture (it was supposed to be a pic of just the sheep in the corner). I'll snap some more later today.
And I didn't find any sorts of downloads, only some sort of trading thing that one can do online. Sadly, I have no idea what to do because of that whole "not knowing Japanese" problem I have.

I found some interesting links about items in this game.
Here is a link to all the outside objects you can buy.

Here is a link to a website with tons of photos.

Check the bottom of that page for more links to photos.
Damn!!
Now I'm going to have to get this game.

It's actually kind of funny--I stumbled on to both of those yesterday.
I've got my 3 new "outside" items". I'll snap some pics if I remember to later.
