As far as I know, it is only for older T.V.'s. I use a generic RF adaptor.

Any TV that has RF input can play these older systems, but make sure you get a manual switchbox because the RF adaptors that NES and it's ilk use don't work with older systems. You can easily find them at Radio Shack. Then plug the RF cable from the system into the switchbox, and then the switchbox to the TV.

My advice is to buy the adapter that Arcade Antics is talking about in this thread:

It works for all of the classic systems: Atari, Colecovision, INTV, etc. And, it's a nice clear picture without the use of a switchbox. As long as you have a coax input, you'll be set with this adapter.

;) I had this problem with my Atari 7800. Well, actually I lost the original RF Adapter. I bought several different models at Radio Shack and other stores, but they did not work. A helpful retro gamer told me that it was due to the weak RF signal that the 7800 produces. I bought an RF adaptor with a MANUAL switch (at Radio Shack). It works fine with the 7800.
My advice. Look for an RF adaptor with a MANUAL switch.
