I already got my SS gift, so unless there was some kind of mixup, this can't be it.
Somebody in Elkview, WV, (downfall?) who else is from WV here? I got a BRAND NEW DS, STARTER KIT, and SPIDER MAN!
Who sent me this? Like I said, it came to my home address, in WV, from a PO Box in Elkview WV. Whoever it was, thanks a lot!
@_@ :D

Did bigdaddychester do secret santa? He lives somewhere in WV, or at least hi did the last time I saw him online.

Oh yeah, I forgot about him...BDC, was it you?
EDIT: It couldn't have been a SS gift though, because my parents' address wasn't the one I sent Jamie.

Purchased anything on ebay lately?
Maybe a mixup with an ebay seller, who shipped you someone else's purchase.
That sounds like a rather large SS gift. O_O

I wish I had enough money to send out DS systems - I've still yet to pay the credit card bill for mine! LOL
I can promise you that it wasn't me, nor was it bigdaddychester - I believe we've both been hit pretty hard this holdiay season as far as cash goes. Besides, neither of us are from anywhere close to Elkview.
The only other people from WV that I know of on the board are
Tank
Quintracker
Rogmeister
and a few others that don't post much.
I doubt it was Tank - he's new, plus he hasn't posted for a while. Rogmeister is from up north, so he's not near Elkview. That's leaving Quintracker - and I have no clue where he's from.
:hmm:

I'll wager someone got your address from Flack because you were nice enough to quickly send a Gamecube to his adopted Xmas family :)
Just a wild guess though.

By the way, bigdaddychester had Gapporin for his Secret Santa. Mine has yet to post in the topic. We discussed this stuff a while back, and helped each other out in searching for Secret Santa gifts - Gapporin's Sega Saturn games were tested on one of my Saturn systems actually. LOL

Oh yeah, definately. I haven't gotten anything lately from the'bay, and the fact that there was no documentation (like an invoice or anything) with the stuff makes it hard to figure out.

im also betting my money on someone seeing you donate your gamecube to those kids, maybe some people threw some money together and bought it for you!
but still, enjoy it because i sure as hell wanted a DS but my parents cant afford one for me

Oh yeah, I forgot about good ol' Quintracker.
Is it possible that your parents purchased this DS?
Oh, and isn't it possible to do a reverse lookup for a phone number from an address?

Annual Gift man, maybe? Or maybe some good karma manifested itself into a free DS. Either way, enjoy it! :D

No one got his address from me, although it certainly could be due to that Gamecube. I'm as confused as everyone else is!

Sorry, wasn't me.

If Joe sent it to me, he has a PO Box in Elkins, WV :)
But....Joe has been trading with me long enough to know my address at my parents' house...very curious indeed... :)

yesh just go to http://whitepages.com/reverse_address And type the address to get their phone number. Then call it on a night or weekend.!

OK, new development. There was some balled up newspaper inside with the stuff, the Charleston Gazette. It has to be someone from WV....also, reverse address search turned up nothing...

Did the package have a name on it? If so, somebody might be able to identify it.
If not, you know what they say, finders keepers... :P

Well find out the number for the post office there and call them up and ask them whose P.O. box that is and see if you can get their number from the post office.

I don't want to go through all that. I think that whoever sent this has made their identity a mystery on purpose. If they feel like letting me know, great, and if not, I still appreciate it! :D

leave it a mystery. its better that way.
if the person wanted recognition, theyd have made themselves known.
besides, anonymous charity is good for the soul.

....a few days late but what the heck.....I'm sorry but it was not me either. As Nick stated earlier, my extra funds have been tapped out. I would just send a thank you letter to the po box and see if there is another response. The mystery is intriging.
Also, if you're planning on coming in to see the folks, get hold of myself or downfall and let us know your coming, maybe we can get the tradebait out and have a swap meet.
The mystery is over. I was one the one who sent it. I hope you enjoy it!
THE ONE, THE ONLY- RCM

It seems a bit curious that Joe has a PO Box in WV, know's Boat's parent's address and hasn't responded to this thread yet, hmmmmm...
Anyway, enjoy it man, and hope that someone doesn't come out and say that it was a mistake.
