I've bought a few games since I got my PSone for the specific reason to play them on the small screen. Games like No One Can Stop Mr. Domino are great (I also got a pinball game for 3.99 that I really like, but can't remember the title). However, I can't play Chrono Cross on it. It's just too small. Can anyone reccommend good games for the small screen?

Metal Slug X was the first game I played on the PSOne w/ LCD screen...took a while to get used to, but man that was nice!

Oh ya, don't play FF Tactics on that LCD screen, that really hurts your eyes...like watching ants almost...

Brave Fencer Musashi. It's the only game I've beaten on that LCD screen. It's also my favorite PS1 game.

Anything fast like Gran Turismo or WipEout are a no go. The screen just goes a bit blurry with games like these.

Also, RPG's are quite difficult as the text is tiny, and will hurt your eye's to look at.

Beat 'Em Up's are ok, as are platformers like Crash and Spyro Etc...

Resident Evil and Parasite Eve games are quite hard too, as the detail is tiny, and it would be easy to miss certain objects if you haven't played the game before. Plus the text is tiny, and the games themselves are quite dark...

Puzzle games seem to work ok - I play Landmaker on it all the time, and prefer playing it on the PSone screen rather than the Tv...

Just try different things - See what works well, and what doesn't...

Puzzle games can be tough. Puzzle Fighter is tough since the colors can barely be made out. Fighters are my fave for it. Capcom vs. SNK looks great.

Shmups can work on the screen if the bullets are not too fast, like, say, in an R-Type or Gradius game. Maybe Einhander, too. No problems with Gunbird (aka Mobile Light Force) or Strikers 1945, either. People complain about bullets getting smeary if they are too fast, although I have not observed the effect myself. Maybe I just play slow games.

I don't like text-heavy stuff on the screen, and I found that Colony Wars: Vengeance was nearly impossible at times because the radar is well nigh unreadable.

I've never had a problem reading RPGs on the screen. I beat many an RPG on the screen with little eye strain.

I really dont recommend racing games, just too hard to see whats in front of you in such a small screen.

Rayman
Castlevania: SOTN

I haven't actually played those on it, but I would think they would be good.

I just tried something and was playing Space Channel 5 on the PSone screen, and it really is quite bad!

I then tried Medal Of Honor Frontline, and that was way too dark, then I tried Capcom Vs SNK II - And that worked quite well...

I also tried playing Resident Evil Zero, but that was far too dark - Even with the brightness turned all the way up - It's a shame the screen doesn't come with colour control or contrast, otherwise it would be perfect!

Sound is awesome whatever you play.

I've also found the screen is useful for viewing your camcorder on or something similar.

I also tried using it as a second monitor for my Pc, but the results of that were quite bad!

I find that all my games are perfectly playable, which is thanks to the fact that the PSone's LCD is of very high quality. I notice very little streaking, and everything (no matter how small) is so crystal and sharp.

2D games look absolutely amazing on it.

e.g. Street Fighter Alpha 3, Strikers 1945 II, Guilty Gear.
