Who just bought a picture of an X-Box (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5545067660)
They should make the ability to read a prerequisite before you can get an eBay account.

Well, the seller did clearly say several times what he was selling, so I don't think EBay can do anything about it.
On the other hand, sellers like this REALLY piss me off. He KNEW what he was doing and KNEW someone would bid on it thinking it was a actuall system. What a asshole.

Look at the feedback the seller left for the buyer:
FAST Payment!! GREAT Communication & Understanding!! Thanks for the laugh! A++++

23 bids O_O
hmmm... he does say several times what you will win, but its still just wrong
Gotta be a shill account that won it tho... anyone who is that light hearted about getting ripped for 150 dollars needs his head checked

The seller doesn't have any negative feedbacks...I'd keep an eye on it...maybe the seller gave a refund after the payment was received, or he let the winner know that it was a joke listing. Either way, he'd probably get a negative, or at best a neutral, from the buyer if he didn't...

It was probably an experiment. Looks like something we've done here in the past!
Speaking of which, it's probably getting near time for our annual eBay goof auction contest!

I was all "What an Asshole" but then I read the auction, I'm sorry, personally anyone stupid enough to put cash out on something like this DESERVES to be shafted because frankly, it's a life lesson and if they are stupid enough to fall for this then it's only a matter of time before someone REALLY fucks them over, this might at least wake them up before hand. Don't get me wrong, I DON'T condone the seller or think it's right but at the same time I would feel no guiilt or pity for someone stupid enough to fall for that auction! I live by the 2 words that everyone should BUYER BEWARE!

Ha ha! It reminds me of the bloke who sold the Xbo box for loads!
Well, it really does serve some people right if they can't be arsed to read the auctions!

Heh. I should put a picture of my PS2 and some games on ebay. I wonder how much I'd get off some sucker. Especially since PS2s are going for so much now since it's hard to get one anywhere.
Before anyone flames me, I'm only kidding. LOL

Thats ok...but I dont think anyone really cares...as it wasnt one of us. He's probably just protecting his own ass so he makes another e-bay account. What a poor loser.

Here's (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=187&item=8158755625&rd=1) another joker selling pictures of videogame consoles.

I could'nt help it.....I should be in bed allready, not in the best of moods today, and seeing someone ELSE do this just ticked me off.
I just sent the seller for the new 'picture scam' that Griking linked to this question:
"PLEASE tell me you made this auction as a joke entry for a website. You're not even trying to scam anybody since you say several times it's just a PICTURE and no one would even bid a dollar for it. I hope you like throwing money out the window. If you're going to scam someone, at least do it like a real con artist."
I'll be shocked if he responds. LOL

This should be a wake up call for everyone when it comes to bidding. READ EVERYTHING!!!
By the way, are sellers allowed to post such disturbing images on their pages??? If so, I had no idea E-bay allowed this to happen.

Looks like someone H4X0R3D his original auction cause those images were most definatly NOT there to begin with.

Well, the original auction has been pulled by EBay. I guess from what people are saying the pic got changed.
As for the second one, I got a response from the seller, much to my shock. :)
IF YOU WERE SMART YOU WOULD SEE SOMEBODY POSTED A PICTURE AND THERE ARE BIDS AT 18,000 DOLLARS YOU DUMBSHIT!
Right back at you! :D

I think some of the people who fall for this kinda scam are people with english as a second language or none english speakers using a x-later who may read "Picture of XBOX" to be something like "XBOX in picture".
so what may be construed by us as clearly a hoax, may be something entirely diffrent to internationals.
