it beats my last win of one a few months ago for $62 too. the one i already have could use a new manual though..... and before anyone asks, someone has already claimed the 2nd copy. :)

If the seller would have listed it right it would have went for at least twice that. (Meaning put that there was a Sonic LE in the auction)

yeah, putting Sonic LE in the title of the auction would've boosted that end price a great deal. seller simply didn't know what he had on his hands. that's why it pays off every now and then to be thorough.... ;)

Its a version that was only released to Hollywood Video stores BEFORE the release of the dreamcast. They where supposed to be destroyed after the release, thats why its special and somewhat rare.

the vast majority of them were not destroyed though, they just went into the store's rental stocks. because of that, you're more likely to see incomplete (disk only, or with inlay card only...) copies of the game than a complete copy.

apparently there were a few bug fixes in the retail that were still there in the limited edition (as well as the japanese version). although, i can't tell you what they are...
but i guess that makes the LE inferior. heh

It says limited and it is only a demo of the first few levels I beleive. Not sure if that was mentioned earlier.
Heres the deal with Sonic LE from my personal experiances.
Sonic Adventure lets you go on Sega net Have those little animal things on your VMU and also lets you save.
Sonice LE has different versions. Some like mine will let you save and get the digital pet. While others I've seen dont let you save or have the pets.
I have yet to see a sonic LE that lets you go on sega net.

so i received the auction in the mail today. turns out the sonic LE isn't in fact complete. it has the cover, but the rest of the manual is MIA. my fault for not emailing prior to bidding. still though, a pretty good deal, especially considering all the other stuff in there.
