Resident Evil - who collects?

Just curious as to how many of you collect the numerous RE games and their variants. Its just a little thing I started probably about 6 months to a year ago.

Post what you have too. It'd be interesting to know what people have gathered.

I don't really collect Biohazard items, but one of the items I do have I consider "collectable": a brand new Biohazard 5th Anniversary Briefcase complete with outer cardboard box and plastic bag (unfortunately it has a mid range serial number).

They are all PAL versions, and I haven't bothered about the PC games. I still need the GameCube Player's Choice ones, and may start getting the American versions too at some point.

I thought about doing it with RE, but the GC remakes are too exspensive/hard to find for me. So I started doing it with Batman and OutRun instead.

I do. Don't have many things, but so far I've got the PC versions of 2 and 3 (just jewel case though, no box, but that does mean I can play them without any guilt heh), Game.com RE2, and the import version of Biohazard plus the official guide for it.

Hey, just think yourself lucky it's not Mario games you are collecting! That's well over 100 games - Not to mention imports!

My Final Fantasy collection is really only releases from the PlayStation onwards, but since FFVII I have got every one for every format.

And i'm only missing about two Pokemon games from roughly 20 something...

Ah yes. RE 2 for game.com. Forgot about that one. Sitting on my shelf on top of my N64 RE.

There was an RE released for Gameboy? I've only seen Gaiden for GBC. Was that a UK only item?

That suitcase looks neat. Got a picture of it opened?

Debating whether I should go full force into trying to get the UK and JPN (Biohazard) releases as well. Weird to have all these versions of games that I probably won't play (since have already played at least one version of each).

Is that biohazard controller the one w/ the gun like grip? Is the "biogun" an official licensed product (a PSX light gun w/ RE pictures on the box).

RE is gonna be one of my next big collections, looks like (Dino Crisis as well). I'm still working on the Akumajo Dracula/Castlevania series though.

There's also a 99X version of RE2 (made by Tiger, it's a little hand-held with a dot matrix screen).

I think there was also a limited edition Dreamcast with RE/Biohazard graphics on it.

I can confirm that! I believe I've also seen a PS2 in a similar fashion.

Yes, there was a Resident Evil game for the GameBoy - It's basically the same as Resident Evil I, But obviously all in GameBoy monochrome.


I loved the books, but wasn't too keen on the spin off stories. And that character Trent was a good addition. The books take a specific side to the story telling too, favouring one character's storyline from the game...

while I luv the RE series ALMOST as much as the Silent Hill games all I have right now are:
RE:Directors Cut (PSone)
RE3:Nemesis (DC) one of my favs
and RE:Code Veronica (DC) i bet I played through this game at least 30 times when it was first released the graphics still look good even today :eek 2:
I used to have REmake and Zero before I traded in my GC for a new PS2 (for the second time :angry: ) oh well I just have to many great PS2 games to complain much.

I don't collect but am a BIG fan of the series, I even loved the films.

Been hooked since the orginal PS game!!!!! Currently have R.E. 2 and R.E. Code Veronica for DREAMCAST and R.E. Online, R.E. Dead Aim for PS2. I don't own a Gamecube YET but have one game already which is Resident Evil 0. My biggest regret is when I moved to BC from Ontario wife my girlfriend I ditched a full life size display of PS1 Resident Evil NEMESIS showing Jill Valentine with giant Nemesis stading behind her DOH!!!!!!! :(

BTW, which games did you folks find to be your favourites?

For me, it was RE 3 Nemesis (the first I ever played), and RE Zero - just found it well placed w/ great gameplay. I found the REmake too difficult, Outbreak to load too slowly, Code Veronica seemed to take too long (maybe just cause I was trying to finish so I could play Vice City)

Hurrah! A fellow RE3 fan. RE3 gets NO credit, but its a VERY well put together game, and I kick ass in it LOL . It's the only RE game I have totally memorized.

Nemesis actually hunting you down throughout the game and BUSTING through doors after you was nuts it completely scared the fecal matter from me on several occasions.

Of course I have weak bowels and defecate on myself when a Kool-Aid commercial comes on too loud.
